Depending on where you're coming from, your flight to Ventress could be a piece of cake or it could drag on forever. We've rounded up some useful tips that will help you start your unforgettable escape on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be a great experience if you pack the right things. First of all you'll need toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a fresh set of clothes and a good read. Secondly, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your electronic devices, chargers, any daily medications and perhaps a neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel papers and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have a pocket knife hiding in one of the zippers of your hand luggage. Other banned items include flammable or explosive products, such as aerosol cans and bleach, and gels and liquids in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main priority is to be as comfortable as you can. Pick a pair of flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, natural fibers and don't forget to bring a sweater in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- You're probably aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by long periods of inactivity. To lower your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression socks and keep your legs and feet moving.
