Depending on where you're coming from, your journey to Saint Bonaventure could be completely painless or it could go on forever. We've pulled together some tips that will help you start your next big adventure on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First of all, pack your passport, travel documents, wallet and medications. Next, you'll want some entertainment to help pass the time. A juicy novel and a laptop filled with your favourite movies are some wonderful options. If you hope to catch up on some sleep, a comfy neck pillow and some noise-cancelling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, make room for a toothbrush and some deodorant so you'll step off the plane feeling fresh as a daisy.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have sharp objects (like a knife or scissors) lurking in the bottom of your carry-on luggage. Other restricted items include flammable or explosive products, such as aerosol cans and fuel, and liquids and gels in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Go for comfort over style. Prepare for changes in cabin temperature by donning layers, and wear flat, enclosed footwear like sneakers.
- You've probably heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. To lessen your risk on board, drink lots of water, consider wearing compression tights or socks and do gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat.
