• It's easy — first, pack in your passport, official ID, wallet and medications. Next, you'll need some in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A juicy book and a tablet filled with your favourite movies are some great options. • Airport security personnel first need to verify that you have a valid ID and boarding pass before you can proceed any further. Have them close by, ready for inspection.
• Your jacket, belt, keys and other small items, like your headphones, will be required to go through the X-ray machine. Make your life easier by removing them before your turn arrives.
• For just a few moments, you'll need to unplug from technology. Your tablet, phone and any other electronic devices must also be sent through the scanner.
• Any liquids or gels, such as shampoo or hand cream, that you want to bring on board must be no greater than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres). They must also all fit inside a quart-size (one litre), zip-lock bag.
