"A beautiful cottage in a marvelous (fairly remote) location, wonderfully well appointed and superbly comfortable. There was more to do and see than we had time for ( a five might stay) but no doubt we will be back. The sheepdog demo near Hawes is highly recommended, and is the sheep auction on Tuesdays. In short, this is one of the best, of not the best cottages we have ever stayed in."

"We’ve just returned from another stay at Oughtershaw Hall and, having been coming here for several years now, I can honestly say it never disappoints. The children absolutely love it, especially the pool and outdoor space, and they literally count down the days until we go! It’s always lovely to arrive and find the hall looking immaculate, both inside and out. It’s really well equipped too, so you have everything you need for a comfortable stay. A special mention to Tara and Ben, who are both brilliant. Tara is always so helpful with the bookings and Ben, the Estate Manager, is there to greet us when we arrive and is always on hand if there’s ever a problem or we need anything during our stay. They both make everything feel really easy and relaxed. We always have a lovely time here and it’s become a bit of a family tradition for us. This was our 5th visit since 2022, so I think that probably says it all! It feels like a home away from home for us now. ❤️ Already looking forward to the next one!"
