The house was very clean and spacious. It is easy to find and access instructions clear. You are very close to the park entrance by Mariposa Grove. I would recommend staying at this house as a family or slightly larger group, lots of room to spread out. Would stay again.
Exactly as described and was a perfect fit for my family of 5. Just a few minutes to the Wawona entrance gate, and about an hour from the main Yosemite Valley. I look forward to returning to this home with my family for many years to come.
The house is well located and beautiful. It had everything we needed. My only complaint would be that we had some small issues (e.g. no light switch could turn on the dining room lights, a smoke detector chirped at us periodically for the first few days). The property management company didn't respond to texts at first; I had to call. I also had to follow up when they didn't get back to me. Because it had started snowing unexpectedly, they weren't able to send anyone out to help us for the first couple of days. After that, we decided just to deal rather than try to coordinate with having someone come in. Still, we'd stay here again.
This home provided a great place to relax after our long days in Yosemite. There was plenty of room for our group of 7 to sit at the table for meals and relax on the couches.
The kitchen is up to date and the bathrooms modern and clean. There were plenty of towels, soaps etc. provided.
The location was great, being just outside the park entrance. It took about an hour to get through the entrance and drive to the valley floor in the mornings.
We really enjoyed hiking in Yosemite (averaged over 12 miles/day). The views are amazing.
The inside of the home is beautiful and spacious. Very clean and looks to be recently renovated. Plenty of linen and towels. It is only a few miles from the South Entrance of Yosemite and 25 minutes from Bass Lake. This location was perfect for us and we had a lovely time here.
Although advertised with air conditioning, it doesn't actually have it. Fortunately, the nights were cool and we could open windows in the evening. Ceiling fans in bedrooms work, but the one in the living room does not. There is ample dishware and cutlery, although the pots and pans need replacing. Otherwise, it is a well-stocked kitchen. The sink in the 2nd floor bathroom trickles when on - no water pressure at all.
The only real disappointment was the deck and back yard. The deck is large and spacious, but there is limited seating. The deck chairs were covered in cobwebs and the cloth seats were dirty. The patio set is unusable. The table has a ceramic top with small tiles - most of which are broken and/or loose. There is no picnic table, so enjoying dinner on the deck is not possible. The propane BBQ is in good condition. The yard is dangerous for young children as there appears to be construction going on in the basement and discarded wood and other detritus are along the fence line and under the deck.
Overall, it was a great place to stay and easily accommodated 6 adults.
This place is amazing! Extremely close the Yosemite South Gate
It was an unforgettable stay. We were so impressed with how much personality the house has. We especially appreciated the kitchen where we found the appliances we didn’t even expect. All the necessary pots and condiments were there, even a blender.
We also played with the smart fridge and enjoyed playing music from the fridge.
And all the appliances were new.
I almost never can sleep when traveling, but this time my pillow was soft enough and the bed was pretty comfortable too. It’s also an electric bed, it must be nice warming it up in the winter.
There’s even a washing machine.
We hope to be back again. Thanks for having us!

Totally misrepresented property
Got there ok front door handle crappy wasn't sure if it was locked, got in 56 degrees inside turned on heater no heat, hvac guy comes spent 2 hours trying to get to work heater broken 31 degrees outside.hot tub dirty, deck filthy, basement under construction, no trash bins outside, no handle on microwave, coffee pot broken,homeowner/handyman remodel .house has potential but very misleading pic's. Trying to get a refund as it was to cold to stay another night can't get any resolution from this company
Overall their property was terribly misrepresented in pictures and descriptions. The property was messy and many things were unusable. The AC broke the first night an no one came by to look at it…the entire week were there. It was in the upper 90s in the daytime and the upstairs bedrooms were unbearable at night. Folks had to find other places in the house to sleep. Communication with the agents was terrible. I have been trying for 3 weeks to get part of my $ back. It’s radio silence. I gave them every opportunity for me not to leave a bad review. Beware if Grand Welcome is the rental agency for you VRBO!!
