"Bad smell in bathroom. Couldnt adjust heating in the room. Staff barely interested in communication. Awful restaurant. Only a poor set menu while i was there. "

"A fine place to stay, but it’s PR is not helped by the unattractive photo of the indoor pool which is prominent in its advertising. I would suggest a shot of the town of Manteigas from the hotel- a beautiful vista indeed."

"Beautiful mountain views"

"It was my second time at the abrigo da montanha, this time as a stop off between the Santander ferry and Lisbon. Great location in the mountains, lovely to have the small spa for a bit of relaxation, and the slightly fancier room with the jacuzzi bath. As with my last visit, the best elements were the amazing views of the mountains in Sabugueiro and the staff, all of whom were lovely. We ate really well (hearty mountain food) at dinner, with exceptional wine from Casa da Passarella at really...

"The place is an old olive oil mill, that was transformed into a B&B, preserving the ancient characteristics. The result is fantastic. I strongly recomend this property!"
