Catch a game or take a tour at one of America’s most historic and beloved ballparks.

A source of great pride to Bostonians, Fenway Park is home of the world-famous Boston Red Sox baseball team. One of the oldest ballparks in the United States, no trip to Boston is complete without catching a ball game at Fenway Park.

Watching a baseball game at Fenway Park is a magical experience. With the redbrick stands, the lines of statues of players past and present and historic murals, it’s hard not get caught up in the amazing atmosphere.

Before you settle down to watch the game, head to the hot dog stand to get something to eat and drink. When the organ music begins (the traditional way of announcing that a new game is about to start) get to your seat and wait for the fun to begin! If you’re new to baseball, just ask any of the Red Sox fans to explain the rules to you – they will be more than happy to help.

It’s worth buying your tickets in advance, either on the phone or online. Fenway Park is smaller than the majority of sports stadiums and seats only 37,000 people. Since 2003, every single game has completely sold out.

Fenway Park is yet another example of Boston’s rich history. It is the oldest Major League Baseball stadium still in use, and hosted its first game back in 1912 against the New York Yankees. The stadium has changed quite a lot over the years, with various additions and improvements made, including the bright green wall affectionately known as the Green Monster.

There are many different tour options available at Fenway Park. The main public walking tours last an hour and are offered daily from April to October during Major League Season. If you want something a bit different and more personal, you can choose from the Batting Practice Tour, a Birthday Package Tour or a Sunday Premium Tour.

Because of its central location, Fenway Park is very easy to get to. You can take a subway or a bus, and some hotels offer free shuttle buses. If you are going to drive, bear in mind that parking fees are quite high.
