"Good standard of hotel opposite the main train station. I had a room on the top floor with a large balcony which got the sun all afternoon. Hotel is on a main road and tram way so can be a bit noisy with the windows open. Room itself was spacious , double bed was great and very comfortable, bathroom was only small but had a bath and shower which was fine. Staff I met were all friendly and spoke good English. Did not have the breakfast during my seven night stay as I felt it was too expensive at 18CHF a day, and there are plenty of food places across the road at the station including a Burger King. Also there is a tourist tax of 4.25 CHF per night. The lifts are only small and fit three people in I would say at a time . Rooms cleaned every day I would definitely stay here again if I could have the top floor room with balcony. "

"The hotel was excellent, great rooms, good room service. We had to go early, missed the shuttle and realized that it was available only every 30 min. We took uber. Great stay overall. "

"Great location but dark and very odd setup. All the other hotels in Switzerland had a coffee/water dispenser in the room but this one you had to walk to a library to get instant coffee which was horrible while all the other hotels had nice espresso in the room. There was no concierge to help with bookings for restaurants etc… it was bare bones so it yourself… never again. "

"We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Royal in Geneva. The location is convenient, just steps from the main train station (Cornavin), and we loved the free public transport card that covered rides all the way to the airport, super handy for arrivals and early departures. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with high-quality bedding and nice robes that made relaxing easy. The front desk team was exceptionally helpful and friendly, always ready to assist. We enjoyed it so much that we returned for two more nights after our ski trip in the Alps. It was the perfect mix of convenience, comfort, and great value"
