Definitely not luxury, a lot of noise from neighbours and poor low quality towels and amenities in the room with no room safe working. The staff member Pedro was lovely, but sadly this is far from a luxury hotel.

We booked this hotel for our young adult daughter. Her plane got diverted and finally landed in Faro close to midnight and the hotel was so very accommodating and were still able to provide paid shuttle service. My daughter was more than happy with the room for being clean, spacious and comfy bed.

Faro is a small town, emphasis on small, and very walkable. Our stay was great, no complaints at all. We had no issues checking in, the front desk was able to communicate with us via whatsapp which was very convenient, our room was comfortable and included a mini fridge. The location was perfect for us, close to the train station, bus station and airport. I would stay here again!

Very friendly staff and a convenient location. Stayed for three nights and found the accommodations very comfortable. I would encourage the owners/operators to introduce themselves. They were nice, but having names would make it feel even more like a guest house.

We were delighted with the location of the hotel to explore Faro and we loved the quirkiness of it all. We were off season so didn’t expect to use the pool and outside areas. They were a bit run down looking with some broken sunbeds and torn curtains but hopefully that was being addressed by the owners as they renovated for the start of the new season. We had an amazing evening meal on our second evening which was the highlight of our stay. We really enjoyed our stay

This boutique hotel is situated on a quiet street, but there is a hostel right next door. There was noise but they quieted down after 10pm. The hotel itself has a serene vibe, which I liked. There is a pool, bar, and lounging area. My room came with a balcony which overlooked the pool. My main issue with this hotel is: the bed is hard and uncomfortable, some of the pillow covers are stained (I am not sure if they switch out the covers between guests), the sheets are pilled (so rough and bumpy), and there isn’t a comforter, just a thin sheet for cover. And I had almost no WiFi in my room. The concierge gave me a different WiFi to try but the connection was still unstable. The concierge was very nice and knowledgeable. He gave me recommendations on what to do and where to go. Overall, I don’t like to complain about the hotels I’ve stayed at, but felt like I need to share in this case. The price per night is the same as the hotels I’ve stayed in Lisbon, but the quality of this hotel’s rooms, amenities, and cleanliness pales in comparison.

We stayed at Opus One Hotel for three nights. The location is excellent—close to the train station and an easy walk to the city center. Our room was spacious, bright, and clean, with a large balcony perfect for relaxing. The host was friendly and very helpful—he provided us with a power adapter we forgot to bring and gave useful tips about local restaurants and shops. However, it’s important to note that this hotel does not meet the expectations of a four-star property. The facilities are outdated: the in-room safe was not functional, and the door lock seemed decades old. The daily breakfast was minimal and not good value, and there were no complimentary coffee, tea, or bottled water provided. Overall, the hotel feels much more like a small, family-run guesthouse rather than a true four-star hotel. If you’re looking for a simple, well-located place with a warm host, this might suit you. But if you’re expecting the comfort, amenities, and standards of a four-star hotel, you may be disappointed. We suggest that the star rating on the platform be reconsidered to better reflect the actual experience and avoid misleading future guests.

This hotel may have seemed luxurious when it was first opened but the rooms have not been properly maintained. Both of our rooms had various issues including deck doors not functioning correctly, the area surrounding the bathtub being totally water damaged (who surrounds a tub with wood instead of tile? illogical) (also the height of the tub and the width of the tub lip/surround, coupled with the insanely sharp edge of the wood, made it incredibly dangerous to get in and out of), faucets leaking, etc. Breakfast was OK mostly due to service. The food itself was quite tasty and varied. It would have been rather great if they offered it buffet style instead of serving each individual a separate plate for each item. We saw *so* much food go to waste as most people left the majority of all the small plates barely touched, and didn't feel comfortable asking for more of the foods we liked because we weren't sure if supply was limited. Plus, service was incredibly slow. We totally understand it's Portugal, it's very laid back and relaxed, and that's great, but it would be nice to get the coffee one asks for within 30 mins of ordering it.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The location was easily walkable to shopping and dining in addition to the bus and train stations. Our room was beautiful and spacious with a large balconly overlooking the pool. We enjoyed both the pool (although it was a little cool for my taste) and the pool table quite frequently. Additionally, the staff was kind and gracious. I only gave a 4 out of 5 rating because the property itself needs a little TLC with some refurbishing projects which, as explained to us, the new owners are quite well aware of and have plans to address soon. All that aside, i would recommend this place to anyone traveling to the area.
