Not a great choice if you don’t have a car. Not much in walking distance. Luckily their bar serves food, but what I ordered was one of those prepared supermarket dinners that they microwaved (I was shown the package). There is ac in the rooms but mine didn’t work properly and I wasn’t able to sleep. On the flip side, staff was fabulous! Very friendly and helpful.

My daughter and I had a very early flight out of Faro and wanted a nice, safe hotel close to the airport. Hotel Monaco had a very friendly staff, clean rooms, and was less than 5 minutes from the Faro airport. I felt it was an excellent choice and would recommend to others looking for something similar.

The rooms and restaurant have been updated. Restaurant had great food options and amazing service. The location near the airport was convenient for an early morning flight. Front desk arranged for a ride to the airport at 4:45 am and had a bag with juice, sandwich, water and fruit ready because we missed the complementary breakfast. The pool was an added bonus! Overall, great experience.

Good hotel, not ideal for early flights

Likely that many people stay here for an early flight. However, the advertised free breakfast and free airport shuttle don’t start until 7:30am and 8am respectively.. in these days where you need to be at the airport 2 hours ahead, that means with a 9am flight these services are useless.

Nice hotel but unfriendly and inflexible.

Despite advertising an airport shuttle they did not provide one. Also did not even try to accommodate an early checkin request leaving my elderly mother to sit in the lobby for five hours.

Clean, but that’s it.

The hotel overall is ok, it’s clean and check-in was friendly, that’s about it though. Everything else is bare bones in the room & bathroom. Breakfast was just not tasty, lots of stale stuff and the eggs had a griddy texture and the coffee was terrible, it tasted like it sat in the container for 3 days/totally burned. The cappuccino maker was not really much better.
