"The setting of the La Fortezza is absolutely beautiful, it’s such a gem, one of the most special places we have been. The hotels 16 rooms are located in an historic fortress with stunning views. After a long drive in an enchanting forest you get to the magical SORANO and this hotel.
We loved it.
The rooms are very pretty and clean and have been renovated in a very unique way with very good taste.
The buffet breakfast was very nice. And dinner in their roof patio was lovely.
Very nice staff.
Will definitely come again !"
"Good place to stay
Value for money
Great pool
Breakfast not the best but still at satisfactory standard
“Strange” rule on mandatory swim cap but then guests allowed to smoke on the pool’s edge (“extrovert” punter with big cigars chatting up younger women giving unwanted attention…)"
"What a gem this place is! We stayed here for one night on our way to Rome and wished we'd stayed longer. It is restful, quiet, and a quintessential Umbrian village.
Orvieto is a quick 10-15 minute drive. Room 4 was wonderful, spacious, spectacular view, incredibly comfortable bed and the best air conditioning and shower! on-site breakfast was lovely with tarts and cakes made from scratch by the breakfast hostess. We HIGHLY recommend this place!"
"Great location if wanting to explore the many beaches, we did many seaside drives, staff very friendly, absolutely love that I was able to text back-and-forth with the front desk with any questions or concerns on the WhatsApp. They helped us get contact information for the nearby horse stables and also offer a shuttle service for us to take the shuttle to the train to go to Rome.We traveled with a two year-old and a four-year-old -property was safe and well maintained for them. they could essentially run freely. Would love if they could improve the breakfast, personally I would like more fresh fruit, bean and veggie dishes. They do have a washer available however it is a long cycle and only one washer available so if another guest has the key checked out, you have to wait. Again, staff was very friendly and attentive. Location worked very well for our needs cost was very affordable other guest staying at the hotel seemed like locals and that this is where they go for vacation, all being very friendly. Our apartment was very comfortable."
