"I booked this celebration cottage for my best friends hen do for 25 people finding a place to host this many people was proving to be difficult and then I came across Howgills house! It was perfect for what we needed and everyone who attended said how lovely the house was and I would definitely recommend it to other large parties again! "Four of us stayed here for a three night break using the apartment as a base to explore the Lake District and we could not have been happier with its location. Sedgergh is a lovely little town with a good range of shops and pubs/restaurants and the apartment is immaculate. One word of caution is that the mezzanine bedroom might not be suitable for small children as it’s accessed by a very steep ladder. Cannot recommend this place highly enough."

"We had an amazing stay at Howgills Barn for a hen party of 20. The property was perfect for a large group – very well equipped, spotlessly clean, and with a fantastic social space where we were able to host our own silent disco and karaoke & cocktail nights. Communication from the owners was excellent throughout. They were incredibly easy to deal with and really accommodating – even helping when my supermarket delivery arrived just before check-in by sending a couple of the team to assist. They left me to get organised initially and then came back to show us how everything worked, including the dishwasher, hot tub, and fire alarm, which was really helpful. We did have a small issue with the Wi-Fi, but when I emailed they responded quickly and were very proactive in trying to resolve it. The location is beautiful, with stunning views and a lovely walk into town down the track. It’s also easy to imagine using it as a base for exploring the area or hiking during the day and then coming back to relax in the hot tub. Overall, I couldn’t fault it and would absolutely book again if I needed accommodation for a large group. Highly recommended. Thank you Howgills team!"
