"What a terrific spot! The bar was comfy, and cosy; the room clean, and tastefully decorated with a comfy bed, and wonderful view of the viaduct and Whernside. And, the fish & chips - exceptional! For us, the staff made our stay, Will, Courtney, Angela, & Val, couldn't do enough for us, despite a very busy bank holiday weekend. Thank you, we had a great evening and a cracking breakfast to boot."

"Very enjoyable stay. Just a slight hiccup about whether breakfast was included in the room deal or not, as this was not made explicit on the Hotels.com site. I asked this question at check-in and was told breakfast was included. However on check-out I was told I had to pay extra for the breakfasts we had eaten. When I told the lady I was dealing with that we had been told breakfast was included in our room rate, she accepted that we had been misinformed and we did not pay any extra, but just to avoid such embarrassment in future, it might be helpful if Hotels.com specified whether breakfast is included or not in room rates and also if check-in staff at the hotel were aware of which platforms offered rate inclusive or exclusive room rates."
