" 5 Stars — A Fantastic Stay at Nomad DunesOur family had an absolutely fantastic time at Nomad Dunes. From the moment we booked, Mike and Chelsea provided exceptional communication, every detail we needed to know about the OBX, beach driving, local attractions, and the home itself was clearly explained and incredibly helpful. Their guidebook was thorough, easy to use, and made planning our trip effortless.The house is beautifully renovated and truly feels brand‑new. It was spotless upon arrival, extremely well equipped, and thoughtfully stocked with everything a family could need. The pool and hot tub were pristine, and the added touches including pool floats, beach chairs, umbrellas, and other beach gear made enjoying both the beach and the pool an absolute breeze.One of our favorite parts of the stay was relaxing on the various balconies. The sunrises over the ocean and sunsets over the sound were absolutely stunning, offering peaceful moments we’ll remember for a long time.There are truly no words that can do Mike, Chelsea and Nomad Dunes the justice they deserve. Suffice to say that we were provided the perfect setting for a relaxing, memorable family vacation. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a beautiful, comfortable, and extremely well‑managed home in the OBX. We will definitely be returning to make more special memories.JW & EN"

"VRBO post is just like advertised and was a wonderful place to stay, relax and wind down. It’s a long drive up the 4x4 beach so prepare, however… it’s peaceful being out on the sand, seeing wilderness, wild horses and a quick hike or drive to the beach. We enjoyed every minute!"

"House and location were better than I had imagined!! Fully stocked kitchen. Helpful email prior to arriving with tips on staying at the 4x4 location. Super detailed and very helpful since we had not stayed in the 4x4 location before. Quiet, private and peaceful location. Stunning ocean views. Sunrise and sunset views!! Pool is perfect. Multiple decks and ample outdoor furniture to enjoy the views. Horses!! Would definitely book this house again!!! Worth every minute of the 10 1/2 hours to get there. Did not want to leave!!"

"Perfect for two. Excellent location for first OBX and off road beach trip. House had everything needed cooking wise except for cutting board. Clean place. Host very helpful, responsive, and respectful. Was surprised at the storage space in garage- perfect for beach chairs/jeep doors etc. stove worked great, just confusing on how to start bake vs boil mode. "We’ve been coming to this house for three years in a row - the location is great, nice and quiet- the house is extremely clean - the AC works great - the ice maker really makes it easy to keep things cool at the beach - the owner is very responsive and awesome to deal with - Carova beach up north is fantastic for shell gathering and a great family beach atmosphere - if I could rate this 6 out of 5 I would - great place!"

"This property is in need of some TLC. Lots of broken things, burned out light bulbs, rotten wood, missing kitchen cabinet doors, broken dining chairs, broken blinds, missing curtains, exterior doors don't latch/lock etc. The pool entrance was gross, covered in sand due to lack of cleaning.Location to the beach is great for driving out but the dune access has long ago been covered over making is very hard to walk to the beach with little ones. I spent over 30 minutes upon arrival reporting issues and received no response from the management company.Overall we were disappointed especially considering the price."
