"What a lovely place! The setting is so unusual and inspiring, right between the seemingly endless marshes on one side and Delaware Bay on the other. The house itself as neat as a pin, with everything fresh and well-organized. Perfect as a a base for exploring local history and local nature or just for slowing down from the busy world. Redwing blackbirds call from the reeds, gulls arc above the bay, and we did see one bald eagle a bit inland on the Fortescue road. Along the Bay, there's a long, long clean stretch of sand for walking and ruminating. "

"Room was spotless, loved the hardwood floors. Bathroom was new, the place definitely is revamped. No bugs, no cockroaches, not even a spider. Close to everything including the jail. The only part that sucked was the broken elevator. Other than that it was a comfortable stay, and I have nothing bad to say other than the elevator being broken."

"The hotel had a bad smell in hallways and my room smelled like old mold. Then all night there was constant banging on walls, loud noises and what sounded like kids jumping on beds or something. I called front desk to get someone to check but never heard back and it continued. This went on for always the entire night. I got no sleep."

"Our stay was absolutely delightful. We own a small business that is crazy busy the last quarter of the year. This was a chance to reset and breathe. This house was stunning with the colors, furnishings and situation to the lake with all the windows. The fireplace gave a charming feel and we loved using it every single day. The attention to detail and the cleanliness of the space was appreciated. We loved the ornate rail and the little bronze corner pieces on the steps. Once again we had a lovely time getting away and resting. We hope to return again!Thanks againHope and Brady"
