"The proprietors were charming folks and resident Alaskans. They provided a wonderful breakfast, taking into account our dietary preferences. They also were interesting in that they housed firefighters who had been working to control wildfires threatening some of Alaska's beautiful natural areas."
"Property was centrally located in the downtown area of Fairbanks, restaurants were walkable. Hotel was clean. AC didn’t work as well as we would have wanted but who would have thought you would need ac in Alaska. Didn’t realize the homeless population was that bad, but they did a good job of keeping them out of the hotel. "
"We stayed here for one night and was happy that there was adequate food available in the hotel store since all the restaurants nearby were closed when we arrived."

"Great welcoming staff. The shower was really small. Which is only a big deal if you like a roomy shower. Apparently also the rooms upstairs had a normal size shower so just fyi. The rest of the property and room were great. "

"The place was cute, clean, inviting, and comfortable. Ben left a nice welcome letter and snacks for us too! We got to meet him while we were there and he was incredibly nice and made our stay enjoyable. I will definitely look to stay here again next year! "
"We stayed here our first and last nights in Alaksa. It was great both times. Ben was super accommodating, being able to do a load of laundry was so nice, it's so quiet, SO clean, bathroom amenities were so nice. 10/10 recommend!! The only thing I recommend is bringing eye masks to sleep in as the bedroom doesn't have black out shades and it's never dark in July. :)"
Charming 1-bedroom townhome in serene Fairbanks with WiFi
8/10 Good
"The property was easy to find and check into. It appeared as stated in the ad. Communication with host was slow, property was not thoroughly cleaned, there were very few dishes in kitchen, hot water ran out quickly (even over course of a single shower), was very bright/hot in evening so hard to sleep (only one bedroom had blackout curtains, no AC), and the street was quite loud. However, it was a very convenient area of town, close to everything. Host provided fans when it got hotter. There is in unit washer/dryer which was very convenient. Host was flexible with our particular needs. Check out was very easy. "
