What an incredible experience! I highly recommend staying here. The host/family are so sweet and went above and beyond to help us get to the hotel as well as helped us plan our travel back to Milan. The view is unbelievable with multiple areas to take photos. We loved the complementary breakfast and just relaxing in the garden. 15/10 stay and we will be back in the future! The only thing I recommend is figuring out your transportation to and from the hotel in advanced. It is very hard to use public transit to get here. I would recommend getting a taxi/uber from the como main station or even renting a car. Thank you for everything again!

Very friendly hosts offering perfect transfer with tiny car from parking lot. Great dinner. Excellent breakfast individually served. Cosy and appartment (warm even in March) with beautiful view. Nice walking trail up in the mountains.

The place in general was pretty, the view was amazing. But the inconvenience of it being high up on the mountain through tiny roads, will keep me from coming back. They offer a shuttle service where they take you up and down in a small fiat car, The lady who runs it during the day was extremely kind, however do expect to wait at least 20-30 mins at the bottom. We had an early train the day we were checking out at 7:03 and had to be down the mountain at 6:25 at the latest, to then catch a taxi to the station. We asked if they could take us down and she said she had to ask the owner. Long story short, he said he would only take us down at 6:30. When I asked kindly if he could possibly take us down even 5-10 mins earlier, he was quite rude about it saying “6:30 or you walk”. So we ended up walking down the rainy cobblestone paths with all our luggage to get there on time. 25 minute walk, not fun. Also the keys are the old simple kind that truly have no security to them, and can be easily picked.🗝️ If you plan on seeing the city a lot, or have an early train to catch, this is probably not the right option.

The Hosts, Gianluca and Ash were so nice and made us feel like Home The Room we stayed was so clean and with a beautiful view of Lake Como, we were so happy with the whole experience and we would definitely stay again at Essentia. 5 Stars and forgot to mention the dinner they cook was amazing, we loved it.

This place was a gem to stay at. Your in an exclusive villa room with any time transportation and whatever accommodations you need. This place was not only beautiful but perfectly situated in the middle of everything. The staff was fantastic.

Amazing view the owner Gianluca was a great host. The room is very spacious and excellent breakfast in the morning. He gave us a ride to the nearest bus station and picked us up. Slightly away from the main attractions however we did all of that during the day and relaxed in the evening

It's a hike. So, if you can't go up stairs this is not the property for you. The host was doing his best. Gracious man, he transported us to the Guest House from the 'parking area', he showed us or room, he made our drinks and served us dinner. The place is not 'walkable' and there is no where else to go but to just stay and enjoy what you see.

We really enjoyed our stay at Essentia Guest House. Gianluca went above and beyond. Met us to shuttle us back and forth to the location, his dining options were excellent, and he even took us to the local train station. This is a quaint and charming experience with gorgeous views of lake como, and you really feel immersed into the culture. Highly recommend.

The host went above and beyond helpful. Our flight was delayed, our Uber cancelled twice, we ended up getting there 3 hours after last check in, but Gianluca & Matteo were there for us and saved the day by getting us safely to the guest house. A fantastic breakfast with spectacular views, I would recommend this place to anyone.

The hotel has many qualities… it's family-friendly and quiet, and under other circumstances I could have given it a 10/10 review, but in my personal case, it's not suitable for people with disabilities. Gianluca and Sofía provided us with exceptional customer service. Parking is NOT at the hotel; you arrive at a designated parking lot and they pick you up. That's where the adventure begins. The streets are extremely narrow, where most cars can't fit. It's a very old place, but everything is updated: rooms, bathrooms, restaurant—it's top-notch.

Perfect location, with great view

The guesthouse was exceptional, with rustic architecture. It is located in a village literally in the middle of nowhere. Lake como is everywhere you look, as it is located up in the hill. The room was spacious, well decorated and silent, the personnel was also helpful and kind. The only thing that visitors have to know, is that the guest house does not provide a parking space. You have to park your car in a public parking on the nearest village and then you have to use the shuttle service of the guest house as this is the only way to go up the hill.

This place is a unique gemstone. It’s an adventure to get to it, but you won’t have to do the driving, you will have the most memorable drive through ancient town built into the side of the mountain and the owners car will get a couple of more scratches but it’s all worth it. The view is the Best we have encountered in Italy and you will meet the owners pets and maybe will have the pleasure seeing their flying squirrel that lives on the fig tree. Amazing experience.

The house is a throw back into another error but the setting is absolutely stunning with views north across Lake Como bookended by lush, green steep mountains. You need to be met by the homeowner Gianluca in the small town of Molina and he picks you up in a small fiat. You leave your car there and he comes to collect you and your luggage. The reason is simply, once you set off up the hill, as the car barely fits between the ancient homes on either side of the cobbled stone narrow street. Don’t worry as you won’t be isolated during your stay (you can if you choose) as he will shuttle you back to your car. From within hours of your check-in Gianluca will WhatsApp you all the arrive details to include map directions to the dinner, breakfast and drinks menu. He and his staff, including Stella on breakfasts are extremely attentive. If you want medicinal quiet, it’s doesn’t get any better than Essentia!!
