"Location is perfect, there is a garage nearby, access to the A 38 is nearby and it resides in a lovely village. I was made to feel very welcome by Erica and her team who were more than helpful. Twin room had plenty of space and a nice shower with loads of hot water. Kitchen is currently being renovated so cannot comment on catering, for what I wanted it was perfect."

"Nice stay, second time at this hotel. Room a little tired but it adds to the character. Staff were lovely. For breakfast the selection of fresh fruits and Jams were excellent, however the hot foot was topped in no particular order and a bit of waiting around for the full selection to be available."

"Overall a pleasant experience. The staff were friendly, the evening meal was good as was the breakfast. If the hotel has high occupancy the restaurant can get very busy at breakfast time, but the reception staff did warn us of this. "

"All very good, one minor complaint which didn't worry us but I notified staff. I must have left some crumbs on the tea making table which attracted ants."

"The hotel is in a very convenient location close to the city centre and cathedral. It is a historic building but we stayed in the fairly modern extension, which was a nice, spacious room with good facilities for tea and coffee etc. Breakfast was plentiful and you could order from a good range of cooked options including full English. Staff were friendly and helpful."
