Experience the perfect mix of modern amenities and a rustic cabin feel at Amberwood. This room has been completely updated with all new furniture, fixtures, flooring and appliances. This room has a brand-new window AC unit to keep cool, as well as an electric fireplace insert and baseboard heat to warm things up.
Located on the second floor of a six-unit building, Cabin 17 is the perfect place to use as a base camp for your mountain adventures.
The room is always fully stocked with extra blankets, dishes, silverware and of course, coffee! This room has a Keurig coffee maker as well as a variety of coffee pod flavors, as well as cream and sugar.
The bathroom is always stocked with fluffy towels and complimentary soap, shampoo and conditioner.
The only sink in the room is the large kitchen sink- there is not a separate bathroom sink.
This is a hotel-style unit. It is in the same building as other units- they all have their own exterior entrances.
Sorry, no pets allowed in hotel.
Our water system relies on a well, and we request your assistance in conserving water regularly while in Colorado. You might receive reminders from us to be mindful of your water usage during your stay.

Guests have access to the entire cabin. This cabin is hotel-style with 5 other rooms in the building.
There is a new community firepit and cornhole game by the Grand Lodge and Playground.
The Lobby, located at the front of the property by Fall River Road, offers a paid guest laundry room, pamphlets for local attractions, and a coffee bar. You can access the door with your cabin code.
The Neighborhood:
Fall River Road has access to Rocky Mountain National Park's north entrance and is lined on each side of the street with cabins and resorts. Even so, this area is in the remote Rocky Mountains and feels very secluded. We often have wild animals such as bear and elk on our property.
Getting Around:
The easiest way to get around is by car. You do not need 4WD to access the property. There is free parking near the cabin. We are only minutes from one of the entrances to Rocky Mountain National Park.
The roads in Amberwood are paved and may be slick when it is icy or snowy. We do our best to keep them clear for you!
Other Things to Note:
We are in the wilderness of Colorado. There are bears, elk, deer, sheep and numerous other wild animals that also call the mountains home. Respect their space and do not keep any trash or food outside unattended. We have an animal proof dumpster on our property for any trash.
Do not feed the wildlife! It is illegal to feed any wildlife in Colorado and you could get a fine. This includes deer, elk, birds, bears and rodents! Thank you!

The host was very welcoming and responded to my messages very quickly! The view was absolutely beautiful! The cabin had everything I needed, and more! I really appreciated the binder that was put together to show us how to use the other amenities and where the laundry was :)
We wanted peace and quiet with a beautiful scenery and we got just that! Beautiful walking close by, amazing views from the balcony!!

We loved staying at this property with its close proximity to Old Fall River Road entry and to town. It was perfect for a weekend getaway! We will definitely stay here again!
We stayed here for our honeymoon. Extremely impressed with our stay, it felt quiet and remote- yet you could drive to town in 5 minutes. Beautiful views. Consistent helpful communication from the host. Highly recommend! Hope to stay again sometime!
