"This property like pretty much everything in Tunisia is slowly wearing down, but they keep it up very well and appeared to have a lot of pride in that. I wanted a smaller place that’s right on the beach and the beach is probably the nicest there of anywhere on the island. Room was good sized, and I liked the tile mosaics on the wall walls. Breakfast was very traditional, and good."

We had an enjoyable stay at this hotel, with lots of activities and facilities to stay entertained. The bed and the bedding needs improvement though. Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Essouani?
The best area to stay in Essouani is the main town centre, particularly around the souk and the central square.

This area is the heart of Essouani, offering easy access to local life and amenities. The streets here are bustling with activity, especially around the traditional market (souk), where you can find local crafts, spices, and fresh produce. The main square often hosts local gatherings and provides a good feel for the town's daily rhythm. You'll find many of the town's guesthouses and small hotels within a short walk of these central points.

Couples looking for an authentic experience will appreciate staying in the town centre. It provides opportunities to explore the local culture hand-in-hand, discover hidden alleyways, and enjoy meals at local eateries within walking distance.
When is the best time to go to Essouani?
The best time to visit Essouani is during the spring (April to June) and autumn (September to November) months.

These periods offer pleasant temperatures, typically ranging from 20°C to 28°C, making it ideal for exploring the region's historical sites and natural beauty without the intense heat of summer. The spring brings blooming desert flora, while autumn provides clear skies and comfortable conditions for outdoor activities.

Couples looking for a romantic escape will find these seasons particularly appealing. The milder weather is superb for leisurely strolls through the olive groves or along the quieter stretches of the coast. It's also a great time to enjoy al fresco dining in the evenings.

For those planning to visit the nearby Djerba island or explore the desert landscapes, the spring and autumn months are also most suitable.
