Family friendly things to do in Espiritu Santo

Espiritu Santo, the largest island in Vanuatu, promises a paradise of family-friendly adventures. Begin your journey at the stunning Champagne Beach, where the soft, white sands and crystal-clear waters make for perfect family fun, from swimming to building sandcastles. A short boat ride away is the enchanting blue hole of Nanda Blue Hole, where families can snorkel in vibrant waters, discovering colourful fish and lush underwater flora. For a taste of culture, a visit to the charming village of Luganville allows families to interact with friendly locals and learn about traditional Vanuatu life through craft workshops. Adventure awaits at the magnificent Millenium Cave, where guided tours lead families through lush rainforests and stunning waterfalls, creating unforgettable memories together. Finally, don’t miss the chance to explore the fascinating World War II relics scattered around the island, particularly at the SS President Coolidge wreck, which offers a unique glimpse into history that older children will find captivating. For accommodation, the family-friendly resorts along the coast, such as the Aore Island Resort, provide spacious family suites and activities tailored for children, allowing parents to relax while the kids enjoy supervised fun. With attentive service and a focus on comfort, your family will feel right at home while soaking up the island's natural beauty.

"The only problem was that the hot water was not enough for more than two people, and we were four. The staff was very kind and helpful, super nice people!"

"The most helpful and attentive service I’ve had in my life. The reception staff are absolutely amazing - helped us plan our activities and also helped me with some handy treatment when I was bitten by fire ants. Perfect stay!"

Deco Stop Lodge

Deco Stop Lodge

10/10 Excellent
"Deco Stop is a great place to stay during a trip to Santo. It’s in a great position with a commanding view over the bay. The rooms are pretty basic but they have everything you need and they’re clean and comfortable. The staff are exceptional, they really made our stay. Jackie and Marilyn are stars! The food is good, the beer is cold and the cocktails are strong. Watch out for the pool though — it’s as cool as the beer! (But still a welcome facility to have!)"
