"Parkwood Lodge was a wonderful place to stay for our weekend getaway. The hotel room is very spacious, with a kitchenette, a living area with a queen bed, a sofa, coffee table, a small dining table and a TV + another room with a king size bed and a TV. Everything in the room was clean. A bit dated, but clean. This is not a chain hotel; I liked this feeling of family run business that is so hard to find these days. The office staff were extremely nice and friendly and offered recommendations for dining and sightseeing. The kids loved the pool and the game area. We enjoyed several games of billiards and per my husband, the pool table is well taken care of. The arcade games were a nice addition; make sure to bring quarters or singles to change to play. There's also a nice selection of board games, puzzles and even a small book library available. There's a fantastic patio outside with lounge chairs and tables to sit and enjoy coffee or watch your family play pickle ball. We didn't have the chance to use the pickle ball court, but equipment is provided if you want to play. There's bonfire pit and plenty of charcoal grills to use. There is coffee, tea and hot chocolate available but no continental breakfast. Location is very good. Not walking distance to downtown Fish Creek, but a short drive. But it is centrally located to other small towns (Sister Bay) and attractions (Cana Lighthouse) all within a short drive. Entrance to Peninsula State Park is minutes away."
