Our original reservation was cancelled last minute by the host, so I found this property as a backup. It was conveniently located close to Shenandoah National Park, which was our primary reason for visiting the area. The house was clean, and comfortable. The screen porch was just lovely for sitting out at night. We checked out the river but didn't swim. There is a nice place to make a fire. Overall, it was a really nice stay. My only issue was just a communication snafu. We hadn't received the entry code and were getting close to the property. I was not able to reach the hosts, so was getting nervous we'd get there and not get in. Fortunately, this was all resolved, but it did create some stress. Other than that, it was a really nice place to stay while visiting the park.

Enjoyed our stay at the Cottage on the Shenandoah River. Easy access to main highway and centrally located. Enjoyed our hikes on Skyline Drive during the morning and then went paddle boarding in the evening. House was very clean and the host was responsive if you had any questions. Would highly recommend this the cottage. The fire at night was a plus!
