The property is located in an almost secluded area and very quiet. We enjoyed the amount of space available for our family - we did not feel on top of each other. Amenities are close by, within walking distance. Even though there are other flats/apartments around, you did not feel it within the property and made it feel very private. We really enjoyed our stay there.
The location in Elgin was excellent: quiet, safe; close to restaurants, the Cathedral and Johnstons Mill. The apartment is in a beautiful old manor house on a lovely piece of property. It is very spacious and included a separate laundry room with washer and dryer. The unit has strong Wifi, assigned parking and easy check-in procedure.
We did feel there were a few issues that need improvement - the bed in the primary suite was not comfortable. There were a few dirty dishes/pans in the sink and the dishwasher was not emptied. There were no paper towels or tissues, no laundry soap and only one hand towel. In spite of these few issues, the unit has it's positives and we would recommend it as the cost is reasonable.
The host was responsive with check in instructions and graciously accommodated a request for a later check out.
As long as you’ve got a car this is a great location. Plenty of supermarkets for buying food - Tesco, M & S, Asda and Lidl. Fabulous coastal walking along the Moray Coastal Path, Brodie Castle, Elgin Cathedral and Biblical Garden, Dufas castle ruins, Lock Ness and various distilleries all within a day trip driving distance.
