"The communication with the host was excellent throughout. Mr Manolis was very helpful when we arrived and was available easily via WhatsApp anytime while we were there. The villa was well described and was very clean, we had everything we needed for our stay. There were plenty of places to eat and drink, and there were shops all within walking distance. The village is lovely and the locals are all very friendly. Rethymno town is worth a visit. Taxi's are reasonable and are easily arranged and are very reliable. Would definitely stay there again and would highly recommend."

"We loved this cottage which had everything we needed and was beautifully kept. The outside space was private and the pool was great!Our host was very kind and even provided a meal when we arrived along with other provisions to get us started. Thank you!I would definitely recommend this property."

"Wir haben die Größe des Hauses und des Grundstücks sehr genossen. Es war ruhig und gleichzeitig nicht weit von Stadt und Strand. Wir fanden die Lage top und super, dass es in der Nachbarschaft eine kleine Taverne gibt. Nur die Austattung war leider nicht so gut: Einige Stühle waren kaputt, die Sitzkissen schon recht verbraucht, die Küche war knapp ausgestattet, z.B. nur eine mittelgroße Pfanne, Besteck war z.T.sehr verbraucht, die Batterien für die Fernbedienungen der Klimaanlage waren z.T. leer. Als wir Kritik geäußert haben und nach einer Kaffeemaschine gefragt haben, wurde diese aber umgehend gebracht. Bei besserer Ausstattung hätten wir 5 Sterne gegeben. Wichtig: Bei der Anfahrt von hinten an das Grundstück ranfahren, da ist der Schlüssel und sind die Parkplätze."

"We were 4 families (8 adults 5 kids) staying at the villa in late July. We had a wonderful time. There are two houses, both impeccably clean and well looked after. The hosts were incredibly helpful, answering any queries and helping with recommendations. The property is walking distance to the lovely town of Margarites where we ate many evenings. Rethymno and Panormo are also close and worth a visit. Highly recommend."

"Unser Aufenthalt in Zacharias’ Villa war einfach perfekt! Zacharias ist ein unglaublich netter, herzlicher und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber, der sich jederzeit um unsere Anliegen gekümmert hat.Die Villa war in einem hervorragenden Zustand – alles war sehr sauber, gepflegt und liebevoll eingerichtet. Auch der Pool war makellos und hat unseren Urlaub zu etwas ganz Besonderem gemacht.Ein absolutes Highlight war die wundervolle Überraschung bei unserer Ankunft: Es standen bereits leckeres Essen, Snacks und Wein für uns bereit. Nach der Anreise war das eine unglaublich schöne und aufmerksame Geste, über die wir uns sehr gefreut haben.Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt rundum genossen und können die Villa uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank für die großartige Gastfreundschaft – wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder!"

"We stayed as a big family group of 19, split across the two villas, and it worked out perfectly — plenty of space for everyone to spread out while still feeling together. The photos online really don’t do the property justice; it was even lovelier in person. Every room had AC, which made a huge difference in the heat. A definite highlight was booking a private chef for one night — such a special touch and a meal we’re still talking about. Highly recommend for any large family gathering."

"Words can’t fully describe the incredible hospitality we experienced at this gorgeous villa nestled in a charming village. From the moment we arrived, Vasilias made us feel like family. He graciously accommodated an early check-in and even brought us lunch after our travels.The villa itself is stunning. Beautifully restored from its original construction in the late 1880s, it perfectly blends historic character with modern comfort. There were 10 adults in our group, and everyone had plenty of space to relax and enjoy the property.What made our stay truly special was the sense of community. During our visit, we had the privilege of witnessing a traditional village wedding. The entire village paraded right in front of the villa on their way to the centuries-old church, which is still used for local celebrations today. It was an unforgettable glimpse into local life.We also spent an evening at the nearby tavern owned by Vasilias’ neighbor. The kindness of the villagers was remarkable—his wife even brought us fresh fruit, vegetables, cheese, and olives during our stay.Vasilias also invited us to his restaurant in downtown Rethymno, where we enjoyed a magical dinner. His generosity extended beyond our stay as well. After I accidentally left my jacket behind, he promptly shipped it to my next destination.This was truly a special experience, and we would return in a heartbeat. If I could give a 10 out of 10 stars, I absolutely would. Thank you, Vasilias from all of us!!!"
