"The Patrician Hollywood exceeded our expectations. We chose it for a short stay to get to know downtown LA and Pasadena arts, culture and food. TJ is an engaging host, with a wealth of local knowledge and the sophistication of a world traveler. The house is a perfect example of 1920s LA style (it could be a movie set), decorated with an eye for the exotic and comfortable. The views of the LA basin from the garden are expansive. The local streets are quiet (and excellent for a morning run)."

"O.K. place for a couple nights. A little noisy outside where our room was. Cleanliness just average. Hairs on vanity and sink. Sticky spot on floor. Functional and nothing more. Breakfast that was so highly rated had sausages, potatoes, and no eggs? Free parking and reasonable price for the area was good. I would stay again if I was in the area with appropriate expectations."

"The hotel property is very run down. Our first room smelled like cigarettes upon entry. We asked for another room and this second room smelled a lot better but was still not great. The cleaning staff had left a used cleaning glove on the floor. The floors were also not very clean. Overall would not return. Property also charges $40 a night for parking onsite. Pros: Location is great and walkable to old town."

"The swimming pool was being ripped out and at 9:00AM the jackhammer was loudly working away. No coffee machines in the room and the free breakfast wasn’t available because the guest kitchen was being renovated (or removed). No backup toilet paper or tissues in the room and the trash cans were full when I came back, but the constant item seen both days was a reminder to tip the cleaning staff. The wall A/C unit worked well and I was allowed to park for the afternoon after checkout. The front desk was always occupied by a clerk."

"I want to start with the fact that management took care of this correctly and immediately. My lower review comes from that it occurred in the first place. And that the woman at the front desk, unfortunately wasn't any manner of helpful. She was dismissive and truthfully rude. She kind of laughed at me when I told her about it, but when I showed her the picture she jumped and said "I don't want to see that." It was just odd. But once management heard about it, everything was handled. Eco lab arrived."
