"The house boat was a great family experience. The Volendam Marina area is fantastic for scenery, restaurants, and it's close proximity to Amsterdam. We took a 30 minute bus ride into Amsterdam for a day excursion. The bus service is convenient and easy to use for tourists.(just remember to swipe on and off)"

"This is a lovely hotel surrounded by green open spaces. The hotel is newly refurbished so all furnishing in the public areas and the room we stayed in are new. The restaurant serves a beautiful buffet style breakfast and serves a basic but wholesome menu for lunch and dinner. Food quality is excellent and the staff extremely kind and attentive. Plenty of parking is available but to go to central Amsterdam, the bus is the best choice. The stop is less than 100 meters away and takes you directly to Amsterdam central. The villages of Volendam and Edam al almost within walking distance. "

"We had a lovely holiday despite the negatives I'm about to list. If Europarcs implement improvements this could be a lovely park to stay in! The cleanliness of the property was poor, there were cobwebs everywhere, not just one or two but down behind everything was matted with them, the downstairs toilet was smelly. It seemed like the "broom clean" you're asked to leave it is all that you arrive to. Didn't help that the attachments did not fit the vacuum so i was unable to remedy myself! The AC was leaking significantly which we reported but was not resolved despite assurance an engineer would be sent. This was particularly inconvenient as it was a very hot week. There are no doors between ensuite and the room which is a privacy issue ehen using facilities but also the heat/moisture from showering fills the room making it even warmer than it is already. The facilities looked good, the swimming pool was small but adequate, the sauna however requires a daily deposit of 38 euros and can only be used during reception opening hours of 9-5. It would have been nice to use in the evening, same with the pool. The restaurant was nice and we enjoyed an evening there. The shop was poorly stocked and not open the day we arrived. We made use of other supermarkets including Albert Heijn in nearby Marken. It was a handy location to access lots of places/activities outside of Amsterdam and you could use public transport to access Amsterdam itself. FYI the bus is expensive, train l"

"Gorgeous property, very clean and comfortable. Being able to borrow the bikes at no extra cost was wonderful.It was extremely hot when we arrived and the next day so we very much appreciated the air conditioning.Having a car would be better than on foot as we were, but the bus to the city wasn’t too difficult. Wonderful hosts, attentive and caring yet allowed us privacy.I would definitely stay here again if we were back to Amsterdam.May I recommend a visit to Utrecht, as I absolutely loved it. I also thoroughly enjoyed the lighthouse at Marken. I cycled there but my teenage daughter declined the offer, it was a tough ride but I am very glad I went. Absolutely gorgeous.Thank you George and Lia :)"

"This hotel was in a unique location. The streets are guarded by timed entry, which made it confusing to get to the parking. The hotel staff was helpful with this experience. The breakfast was quite costly for typical offerings, but the setting was very elegant. The bed was comfortable and clean. "
