Impeccably maintained castle with very helpful staff (Amir at check in was especially helpful as we got there around 0900, way ahead of checkin time). The rooms were nice for a hotel of this kind nothing outstanding. The breakfast for €15 per person was sumptuous and well laid out. The on premise restaurant is also very good. An amazing 1 night stay for.my wife n I, that we enjoyed greatly."

"The location and external facade were amazing. However, our room was right next to the hotel events centre. With a wedding until 12:30 and a noisy pack up until 2:30, it wasn’t very restful. Additionally, our room was serviced even though we had a sign out not to enter and they automatically checked us out early, even though we hadn’t left the hotel yet or running late."

"We stayed in the Sandymount for two nights. I had previously been told it was busy but when we arrived I was amazed at the number of cars in the car park. This was a good sign. The hotel was lovely and we had great rooms and the staff were attentive at all times. Not far from the city centre by car, and I would have been prepared to walk if others in my party would have joined me. The breakfast was good. The property itself is quirky because it is effectively a bunch of old victorian villas joined together and extended at the rear. Some of the rooms might not have an external view, but the rooms were well decorated and furnished and the little distance to the city centre meant some peace and tranquility. I would definitely stay here again."
