Cheap Hotels & Resorts in Downtown St. George from AU$68

"I was honestly surprised at the 8+ rating of this hotel. To be fair, it had what we needed which was basically a bed and a breakfast. But our room was definitely older, No doubt in need of remodeling-the carpet just felt gross and some wall paper was peeling. The bathtub was stained and the size/shape of the tub was just awkward. Between the grab bar and fabric shower curtain which, let’s face it, nobody wants to rub up against, there’s really only one position you can stand in and then do not move! Our shower head had so little water pressure and could not be moved at all, lending to the awkwardness of the shower. But, the water did get very hot, so that’s good. The beds were hard as could be though the bedding was nice. Extra bedding was provided. Towels were clean and plentiful. The breakfast was just meh…same thing for two days. The first day, the food was gone when we got there an hour before it ended and very slow to refill. The second day, it just seemed to be sitting for a very long time. All in all, I prefer the first day where at least what we did get was fresh. Check-in and check-out was easy. Location was great, just as we got into town with plenty of restaurants, shopping, gas, etc nearby. It felt very safe and I wasn’t worried about our vehicle in the parking lot. The price wasn’t anything special. I imagine many local hotels were in that price range so with other options, I probably will not stay again but not way others away either. It was just okay."

"The room was more modern than the exterior. This entire property I would say is a three out of 5 star. But good for a three. There is an indoor pool and indoor hot tub. It was clean but generic. An outside pool too. The continental breakfast did have hot waffles. Eggs and sausage. And yogurt. With toast and a juice machine. No fresh fruit. The maid service was very polite. The front desk was robotic but efficient. We got a family Suite that sleeps 6. On a Saturday night at a competitive price. And we plan to come back again. Lots of free parking. 5 minutes from the highway."

"Looks like a motel property from the 70s from the outside, but rooms were clean comfortable and up-to-date. Breakfast was good and on par with other comfort inns we’ve stayed at."

"The shower knobs were going the wrong way. Hot was cold. Cold was hot. There were hairs in the bathtub, including pubic cares. Just need an overall clean. It doesn’t look like it have been planned to very well. The plumbing was all upside down. Really couldn’t get hot water, and the tub stopper did not work. Though the lady at check in was really nice and informative. That was the only plus."

"We always love staying at the Red Lion when traveling for dance competitions. The staff is amazing and the hotel amenities make the trip feel like a fun little getaway. I do wish the breakfast options were a little better but by far our favorite place to stay while in St. George. "

"The gentleman that checked us in was very friendly and welcoming. I would give him 5 stars. Said would give us a room that would be comfortable and quiet. Then while walking to the room another worker tried to move us to another room, very strange. We kept the original room. The pool and spa were ok. Got noisy later on but after 10 pm it was quiet. The room needs to be updated. Carpet and walls, beds weren’t very appealing. The towels in the room definitely need to get NEW ONES!! "
