"We were over the moon to send the last 4 days of a 2 week holiday on the coast. Unfortunately this listing did not provide us with the home away from home we wanted. While the property manager was very responsive, nothing was solved. I privately provided a list of issues ranging from WiFi not working, insufficient kitchen equipment and being unable to use the shower in the upstairs bathroom because of plumbing issues. Beware loud neighborhood. "

"Location is everything for this property, right on Broad Street, next to the shops and an easy walk to the beach. For this we found it perfect. However the property itself could do with some TLC. The steps leading up to the property are shared but are not the greatest first impression. All it would take is a good sweep and tidy up. "A pleasant family-run establishment that gave a warm and helpful welcome. Very efficient room servicing, not replacing towels or mats unnecessarily - a contribution to poluution reduction, but no notice stating policy. One or two annoying little faults: TV had a weak signal and the screen broke up rather often, soap etc. dispensers didn't dispense without a lot of effort, drawers opened and wouldn't close again."

"A lovely but tired classic old fashioned hotel. We stayed in the garden wing. Functional but snug bedroom. The bathroom and loo had been upgraded and were pretty decent. The hot water for the somewhat weak shower was very limited and so cool was the order of the day! Loved having a separate loo. Dinner was fab. Tasty and great value. Breakfast too was super! Cannot fault the staff. Friendly and helpful. All in all it’s a lovely old fashioned hotel with a great comfortable feel."

"On site parking was good. Staff were very helpful. Spacious room and comfortable bed. It is an old building so not perfect in places. Food was excellent in evening and staff very good. Only one real ale available on draft when we stayed but good quality. Enjoyed the breakfast, good value overall and would happily return."
