St Peter's Cottage - sleeps 6 guests in 3 bedrooms
This charming cottage sits at the heart of the popular village of Cattistock, and is conveniently situated just steps away from the church, village stores and Fox & Hounds pub.
The well-appointed accommodation comprises a double-aspect sitting room with charming and characterful features which include exposed beams, and an inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove, all creating the perfect space for relaxing together.
The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you will need for preparing and cooking delicious meals, including an electric oven and induction hob, fridge/freezer, drinks fridge, microwave and dishwasher. The dining area has a large oval table with six chairs and a pretty sideboard with open shelving, and is the perfect spot for enjoying tasty treats. You will also find a convenient ground floor cloakroom with shower next to the kitchen, and a garden room with sofabed, desk and chair: the ideal spot for relaxing or working, with a great view of the pretty garden.
On the first floor you will find the three attractive and comfortable bedrooms: two king-size bedrooms and also a twin bedroom with 3' single beds, each beautifully dressed with cushions, throws and artwork. The family bathroom sits on the corridor between the bedrooms and has a bath with overhead shower, WC and wash basin.
Outside, the pretty garden is fully enclosed, with a patio area with rattan sofa seating and low coffee tables, and a small lawn which is edged by mature planting. A gate leads through to the gravelled drive where up to two cars can be parked (tandem).
St Peter's Cottage is an ideal base for a family or group of friends wishing to explore this lovely rural area, and the surrounding countryside offers an abundance of great walking and cycling opportunities with many quaint villages within easy reach. Nearby you will find the popular village of Evershot with its shop/bakery and The Acorn Inn, named as The Sow and Acorn in Thomas Hardy's famous novel Tess of the d'Urbervilles. Cattistock, Beaminster, Cerne Abbas, the county town of Dorchester, and the wonderful Jurassic Coast are all just a pleasant drive away.
