"When I arrived at this property the owner finally answered the door, she said she had no knowledge of my booking. Finally I had to email her a copy of my confirmation. This wasn't made any easier by her statement that "she spoke no English" - the website clearly states multilingual staff. (In fact it later became clear she did speak English). The 'living-room' is actually set out as a shop and did not feel welcoming - I was not invited to use it anyway. The only restaurant in Salives was unable...

"Upon checking in we were welcomed by a charming receptionist. They even took our request as room location into consideration and was done as expected. Room wise excellent bed, well lit bathroom and with all the amenities as expected with Holiday Inn Express. We had a nice and complete breakfast. Free car park is too an added bonus. "Very good restaurant for breakfast and evening meal. Food was good, well presented and restaurant was busy, always a good sign. Staff all helpful and pleasant. Beds were normal hotel medium/hard, the bedroom was small and the bathroom functional, but east to find, very convenient for occasional stay and will happily go there again."

Grand Hôtel La Cloche Dijon - MGallery Collection

10/10 Excellent

"This is a high quality hotel right on the edge of the beautiful old town area of Dijon. We walked from the train station (about 8 mins) and then were able to walk to all the shops, restaurants and museums. Location was just great. Restaurant and bar options were great. The only drawback was that they were late having our room available. Otherwise perfect."
