Top Rhineland-Palatinate Hotel Reviews

Diehls Hotel
6/10 Okay
"No tea and coffee-making, uncomfortable beds. On the wrong side of the river from everything of interest, so without a car, we had to use taxis."

Mercure Hotel Trier Porta Nigra
10/10 Excellent
"A lovely stay in Trier. The staff at the Mercure Hotel were genuinely kind and helpful throughout my visit, and the room was very clean and comfortable. One of my favorite moments was waking to a beautiful sunrise view from my window over the city. A peaceful place to return to after exploring Trier."

Dorint Am Nürburgring Hocheifel
10/10 Excellent
"We (me and my 2 sons) really enjoyed our 3-night stay at this hotel. The staff are all very helpful despite me not having more than a few words of German. They were all very polite and seemed happy to be working there which gave the place a really nice atmosphere. Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Our room was trackside with a balcony giving a full view of the start / finish straight of the Grand Prix track plus a few of the early corners of the Nordschleife. The track action starts early,(8am) on all 3 mornings we were there (late May 2026) which we all loved as petrolheads but if having a lie-in is your thing I'd ask for a room on the front of the hotel as the cars and bikes were loud. The choice at breakfast was plentiful and all very fresh - if your room rate doesn't include it I would definitely add it 100%. We also ate at the restaurant one evening. We ordered the steak, Dorint burger and the Adenauer pan (pork tenderloin with sauteed potatoes, green beans and subtle pepper sauce in case you're wondering). All delicious and good value for money. We will definitely book to stay again on our next trip to the Ring."

B&B Hotel Trier
10/10 Excellent
"Room was very clean. Staff were brilliant. Breakfast was very good,"

H2 Hotel Mainz
8/10 Good
"Good hotel in a nice location, walkable to the city center. Room is smaller than the ones we usually have in USA. Good breakfast. Early check in was available only with additional fee (10 euro per hour). We knew that we would arrive early and communicated with the hotel about early check in. We were told that it was possible if there are rooms available. Additional charge was not mentioned."

IntercityHotel Mainz
8/10 Good
"Overall, a lovely stay. Room was quiet and clean. Lobby under construction and the staff did their best to work around. Location was close to Train Station. Breakfast was very good and the coffee excellent. We stayed during a few hot days and there was no green space or lobby area to socialize or sit in. A lobby with chairs and some outdoor space to sit would be a wonderful addition to the amenities. Would stay here again."

Holiday Inn - the niu, Mood Mainz by IHG
8/10 Good
"The room was wonderful, but it did not have a fridge, nor did it have any drawers for clothes. The bathroom was very spacious and the shower was large and lots of pressure. If you wanted ice, you had to go to the lobby bar and ask for some. The buffet breakfast a little limited but it was fresh. The staff were friendly and helpful."

Premier Inn Koblenz City
8/10 Good
"If you have stayed in a premier inn before this hotel is like all of the others. Our only frustration was the lack of usable plug sockets on the room, as in the only one we could use was on the bathroom, all on the room had been blanked so we're not usable. Thisade zero sense to us. Appreciate we are Brits abroad, but single duvets on a double bed os also a bit strange."

Leonardo Hotel Mainz
4/10 Poor
"Staff seemed put out by having to do their job of checking us in, the concept of hospitality was not in their vocabulary. Housekeeping left our soap contact empty, left dirty cups and upon asking for soap and clean towels, nothing happened until I asked again. A sauna and pool are adventure but the pool is closed for three hours without notice and the sauna is only open for a few hours in the evening."
