"My fiancée and I were hoping for a quiet, relaxing stay at Locanda Gulfi. From the outside, the hotel promised everything we wanted: A gorgeous stretch of Sicilian countryside, a large pool, well-kept grounds. "This hotel is in an old palazzo, refitted to be small apartments. Ours had a bedroom and kitchen with a table for four. But no sitting area... there was one adjacent to our apartment but open to all guests. Also, they don't warn you that there is a 40 euro charge for using the kitchen. Breakfast was OK but nothing special compared with others we had on our trip. But the real issue is Ispica. There is nothing to recommend the town... limited sites and restaurants.
