"Because I had never visited Los Alamos when the booking said the place was located in Downtown I had envisioned a more traditional urban city center and not such a small village. But that's on me. As for the Canyon Inn itself it was centrally located, clean and relatively quiet. I also wasn't quite expecting the room to be a extra room in someone's residence but it was spacious and more comfortable than I thought it would be. The owners were friendly but not intrusive. "Beautiful area and property is beautiful. Very rustic. Similar to tent camping because you walk to the bathroom which has one compostable toilet. Hosts were all very nice and friendly. Two very steep dips in driveway. Must not be high maintenance to stay here. A coyote was right outside of the place howling and yipping, and an owl was hooting ... Very unique experience."

"This Vrbo is really just two single separate bedrooms. They were relatively clean and ready for us. What we didn’t know was the kitchen and bathroom at one time were communal spaces I believe for lots of people. Now they are for a few family members and the Vrbo occupants. Compost toilet was fine but the bathroom and kitchen areas hadn’t received TLC in a very long time.
