"Lovely little hotel and restaurant in Brantome. Owner was very friendly and welcoming. Room was nicely decorated with view from balcony and comfy bed. Ate the restaurant and food was delicious."

Lovely Swimming Pool exclusive to residents. Chateau de Villars is nonetheless an upmarket Bed&Breakfast (Chambre d'Hotes); no catering apart from continental style breakfast and should not be marketed on a par with a similarly priced Hotel which would normally come with some level of all day service. "We had a really super stay here. What a beautiful hotel; traditional, immaculately clean and so well equipped. We were made to feel so welcome for our short stay (hopefully longer next time!). The mojitos were fabulous! Excellent breakfast, comfortable bed and spacious bedroom. Brilliant host! Thank you very much we loved our stay!"

Tres jolie bâtisse pleine de charme avec piscine au calme. Un espace détente agréable avec coin cuisine bien équipée et un grand choix de livres pour se détendre au frais."

"What a beautiful farm for a relaxing stay! Brice was very welcoming and helpful with suggestions of places to eat and shop. He had good English language skills and was very helpful in guiding our still-developing French! There are nearby places, even on the farm, to hike on trails and explore the woods. We ate our meals on a table in the backyard watching the sheep grazing around us. All in all, a beautiful place and time! I highly recommend it!"
