"Room was clean and well appointed. I was surprised the shower was over the spa but not unusual for country motels and not a deal breaker. Spa was big and deep, great for a long soak. Key wasn't in the room when we arrived but quickly arrived and staff were helpful and friendly when we had trouble figuring out how to lock the door. Room was quiet and comfortable. Bed was large and met our needs."

"Beautiful heritage hotel with amazing staff. Lovely balcony room with massive bath & Appelle toiletries. Breakfast was a treat - continental & cooked to order smashed avo eggs. Autumn leaves & the kangaroos. I can’t wait to visit again for a winter spa weekend. "

"The property was a bit tired, clean and fine. The bed was very uncomfortable for me and my wife so we didn't quite get the full R&R we'd hoped for. I'm guessing the bed is quite old, it was saggy on each side with a raised section in the middle which is typical for old beds, so not easy to get a good night's sleep - and that is in the top couple of things we are after in accommodation. Spa tub was hot, everything easy otherwise, though I did feel like no-one checked the freezer seeing as there were an ice cube missing from the ice tray and a couple of golden gay time ice creams in an open packet. "

"We had such an amazing time. We were totally relaxed the whole time. The place was dog friendly and the activities around the farm, from the bush walk to feeding the Animals, games in the stable and our favourite, relaxing in the spa were so worth the stay.. It’s only 10 minutes from Daylesford and 30 minutes from Ballarat and Castlemaine which were great to visit… Oh and don’t forget the Swiss Mountain Hotel 2 minutes away, What a gem! "We bought some outdoor activities with us to supplement the trampoline. Shops walking distance away.Two improvements suggested;1) coffee pods to go with the provided tea bags2) multiple front door keys - the single one provided inadequate for large groups of guests (up to 16)"
