"The Slate was a beautiful B&B, the room was very comfortable. Bed was really comfy, quilt and pillows just perfect. Towels were so soft and fluffy, The food was lovely and the staff very helpful. "Well first of all the staff was pleasant, helpful and professional. For me the location was excellent with plenty of places to walk, multiple supermarkets within easy walking distance and several place to order good food. Speaking of food, the Beef and Guinness pie served here was excellent. One thing, the car navigation system in the car I leased (a VW Golf Hybrid 8 SE from Europcar) not only couldn't locate the place, in fact it couldn't find Station street in Bangor at all (this has happened several times) so use Google maps for the last 5 miles of your trip as it knows exactly where this Pub is. I'd stay there again."

"We had a lovely family week at Cartrefle. It’s a beautiful, spacious and very characterful house, with some gorgeous interiors and plenty of room for a large family to spend time together without feeling on top of one another. We particularly loved the traditional feel of the house and its location, which was a great base for exploring Anglesey. Heather was extremely helpful and communicative both before and during our stay, which we really appreciated. Overall we really enjoyed our week and have some very happy memories of our family holiday there."

"Lovely property just a couple of issues * property details didn’t say there was several steep slate steps going up to the property and no handrail which made it difficult for anybody with mobility issues and as the weather is often wet, the steps were quite slippery* Secondly, the back room gets very little natural light as a window is small and over looking a wasteland area and a public footpath. It would benefit from having some kind of privacy window treatment such as wooden slatted Venetian blinds also the room is painted a very dark grey and the lightbulb is very low wattage all of that makes it a very dingy room to stay in as you need to keep the blind down for privacy and the colour of room drains any natural/artificial lightThe kitchen is well equipped, and the Bathroom is luxurious. Really enjoyed our stay."
