Leafield House - pet friendly near Cheltenham

"We had an amazing few days at Leafield House. Everywhere felt incredibly clean, fresh and homely. We particularly loved the spacious kitchen, which was bright, light and offered fabulous views. It made a wonderful venue for our anniversary celebrations and the garden felt so relaxing. We loved the outdoor marble table - great for picky bits and Aperol spritz! The house is also very well located for visiting Highgrove Gardens, which we thoroughly enjoyed. A couple of points that may be worth considering: a few canopies or sun shades would be a great addition around the kitchen. We also found the ground-floor bedroom became incredibly warm by the evening, even keeping curtains closed yet there is limited options for overnight ventilation as windows are full length. In addition, the ground-floor en-suite window would benefit from a privacy blind. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would happily return."

"Just a fabulous independent hotel - beautiful grounds, staff were fabulous as is the spa. Rooms very comfortable - felt very well maintained. Staff couldn’t be more helpful. More care needed on billing at the end - lots of mistakes and double charges but all rectified !"

"Excellent cottage,, cleaned to a good standard and understandable that some of the furniture is mature, the cottage has lovely character. Road noise is a little loud, but we started to forget after a night or two, we would return as pool, hot tub, bedrooms and communal rooms all work well for two families. Thanks, Gw"

"Spring House is a very spacious and rather elegant 6 bedroom house which was ideal for our family holiday which included a wedding. The kitchen is well-equipped with masses of crockery, cutlery and glassware (although no beer glasses!) All the bathrooms appear to have been recently renovated and are in excellent condition. The decor and furniture is fairly grand and the beds are all either super-king or king sized (apart from the single bedroom). The exterior of the house has yet to be fully renovated, with rather tatty window frames, but all sash windows worked fine. The outside grounds provide plenty of space, but the lawn is rather uneven with many animal scrapings/diggings. It would be quite easy to turn an ankle accidentally. An umbrella or awning for the outside table would be a useful addition. The house sits within Stockwell Farm, which appears to be a combination of sheep and arable. This provided huge entertainment for our grandson with working machinery and dogs working the sheep. It is an easy drive to Cirencester and normally to Cheltenham, but visiting the latter is currently disrupted by major roadworks. We spent a most enjoyable 6 days at Spring House and would be happy to go there again."
Cosy dog friendly self contained Annexe near Cheltenham & The Cotswolds

"We had a lovely couple of nights and will plan to return for longer. The annexe was perfect for our dog with a secure garden and field right outside, plus dog bowls, treats and a cooling mat all available which was a nice surprise. The annexe is really well equipped, comfortable and clean. It's also a great location for exploring the countryside and local towns. It's at the end of a very quiet lane but just a few mins from amenities and a short drive from both Gloucester and Cheltenham Town centres."
