Beautiful property with a private guest house in the Redwood State Park area. The hosts were available if needed but gave us privacy. The guest house had everything we needed to enjoy our visit to the Redwood Parks. Would definitely book again if in the area.

Wonderful place, even better people

Perfect location

This is the perfect spot for your Redwoods getaway. Conveniently located to many sites. The place is exactly as listed, clean, and the hosts were extremely accommodating. We will be back!

Perfect Redwood Stay

The host and hostess were very hospitable and accommodating. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. It was everything we needed to enjoy our visit to the area. We plan on going back.

Weekend in the redwoods

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It had everyhing we needed - including free eggs! Ana and Gerhadt were attentive and engaging hosts. The location was very close (less than 20 minutes) to several amazing and easy hikes in the redwoods. We highly recommend staying here.

Our hosts were wonderfully welcoming and sweet, offering us fresh eggs, cold drinks, and the use of their kayaks on top of the already charming accommodations. The guest quarters were perfect for our needs with a well stocked kitchenette, a very comfy bed, and room to relax both indoors and outside. We even enjoyed a short hike in their backyard woods, marveling at the Reswood trees and massive stumps. We loved our stay and would do it again in a heartbeat.

Lovely in the redwoods

This place is beautiful. The cottage was perfect for me and my husband. Very clean and lovely. Our hosts were wonderful people. We totally enjoyed their company. We loved the fresh eggs and my husband was thrilled to gather them himself. We truly recommend this place to everyone and we would love to return someday!

Perfect home base!

We loved staying here! It was my husband, 13yo son & me, and it worked perfectly for us. This was our home base as we explored the redwoods just a few minutes away. The hospitality was off the charts with Ms. Ana even bringing us fresh eggs from their chickens for breakfast. We loved exploring the backyard. The property is gorgeous & peaceful, and as I mentioned the hosts are just lovely. We would definitely stay here again & highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway.

Beautiful Woodland Back Yard…With a Goose.

The guest apartment was very sweet with a nice little back porch looking out into the lush forest. Absolutely idyllic setting. However, the owner and their pet goose are a constant distraction. We just wanted to relax, take a nap and do our own thing, but they made that pretty difficult. If you don’t want to socialize constantly with your host, do not stay here.

Refreshing

We came to get out of the heat from home. Not only was the weather refreshing so was the outdoor surroundings and above all the time spent getting to know Ana and Garett. We truly want to take break from the Rogue Valley again and come back especially so we can see Harry the pet gander and all the beautiful hydrangeas again!

The Redwoods Await

Perfect blend of relaxation and adventure in the Redwoods! It was an ideal setting to be in nature but close to amenities, including some nice places to eat. We were able to fix meals in our place as well and had a wonderful dinner ambience on the deck with white lights, linen tablecloth and the Redwoods as our scenery. It was an amazing stay!! Ana and Gearhardt were kind and visited with us and also gave us space to have our time. And they were so generous with their fresh eggs. A delightful time!

Beautiful Property in the Woods

Couldn't have found a better place to stay. Ana and Gerhard are wonderful hosts and the cottage is perfect for a long stay. It is beautifully decorated, peaceful and functional. The property is like being in a park and we loved the chickens, geese and their lab who was so friendly. Ana brought us eggs the first day and many other nice surprizes throughout our stay. We enjoyed visiting with Ana and Gerhard whenever the opportunity arose as they are very outgoing and interesting people. We will absolutely stay at Ana and Gerhard's cottage whenever we visit Crescent City again. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Amazing Stay - Wonderful Hosts!

I don’t normally leave reviews but had to for Ana & her husband. They’re both super nice & Mrs. Ana is one of those rare, thoughtful hosts who stock & furnish the unit with everything one could want or need - from extra cold sodas & bottled water, to a baby playpen & crib, to bedside stand plugs for your devices & a jewelry tray so you don’t drop/lose earrings or rings when taking them off for bed after a long day sightseeing the beautiful north coast redwoods. Ana also shared wonderful fresh eggs from her free-range chickens & her unit has cooking spices, olive oil, plenty of kcup coffee pods, lovely dishes & flatware (or plastic silverware/paper plates if you don’t want the cleanup!) & quality bath products & towels. In short, we had an amazing stay with super kind hosts. We stayed two nights but could call them friends for what lovely people they are, who made our trip a genuine pleasure!

A lovely stay amongst the Redwoods!!

My husband and I had a lovely stay at this property. The hosts were so kind and they were so helpful. We enjoyed barbecuing at supper and sipping provided coffee ☕️ in the morning. Our little apartment was clean, comfy and inviting. The bed was nice and comfortable. Lots of room to unpack your clothing and other belongings. The owners have a little hobby farm and the trained geese, ducks and hens run to welcome you when you pull up. We received fresh eggs to enjoy in the morning at breakfast then carried on to see the beautiful surrounding forests during the day. My husband had to drag me away on our last day here!! It was a perfect and peaceful stay!

The sweet little apartment had everything we needed. We required two beds, so my mom took the queen in the bedroom, and I slept on the pull out in the living room. The place needed nothing and was super clean! The backyard is a magical place, you can walk right into the Redwoods. There are chairs for sitting as well. The surroundings are so peaceful and quiet. There is a big patio with tables and chairs, if you want to meet geese and a lovely Labrador dog, you can. There are many humming birds around, too. We came here to go scatter my dad's ashes in the Redwoods State Park, so this place helped us process what we had just gone through. The hosts were so sweet and compassionate when they learned our story, spoiled us with fresh eggs and a sweet little gift. We will return when we get the chance! Thank you from all our hearts. We were treated like family!

Anna and Gerhardt are the sweetest, most giving hosts I have ever met! Ana contacted me the day before we left to make sure that we had enough rain gear for our trip and if there was anything we needed. We talked for over 20 minutes about what we would be doing. We arrived to a sparkling clean guesthouse that was perfect for my husband and 13 year old son and me. They left us treats and a dozen eggs from their chickens. We came back from a long hike and she saw that my gloves were soaked, so she brought four different pairs for me to choose from that I could use while we were there! I seriously felt like family. It was very affordable, especially for having our own space. Their house is attached by a common roof, but there are no common walls and you don't hear them at all while you're there. The back bedroom sliding glass door opens up right out into the redwood forest. I loved taking my glass of wine and walking out on the property at night. We will be back!

Perfect location for hiking in Jedidiah Smith state park. Ana and Gearhard’s home and property is lovely!The guest cottage is clean, orderly and comfortable. Shower had great water pressure and the bed was so nice.
