"The staff is the best part we’ve noticed how Fijians go above and beyond for those visiting. We loved the kindness and warm welcome we would definitely stay again. Only reason we didn’t give 5 stars was the smell in the room the damp conditions make it difficult I’m sure but it had a muggy smell. Loved the food (dinner and breakfast). Thank you for having us! "

"I has high expectation since it was a Double Tree we frequent Double Trees in the USA. We arrived by boat and there was no attendant at the dock. We pulled our bags all the way to the office to find the front desk overwhelmed. We purchased an ocean view bure, the room was in the back with "the view being a narrow space between two buildings. There is no beach at this hotel just a rock wall. No free internet at your room. The food was slow to prepare and tasted bad. My daughter got sick in the bed and we had to call the front desk 3 times to get fresh sheets. You have to take a boat to get to the road and the only cabs available there are run by the hotel at an inflated rate. The pool was nice and the rooms were big and clean."

"What friendly staff! Always a Bula for greeting. From the housekeepers, to the groundskeepers, everyone was so friendly and willing to help where needed. The property and our room was just gorgeous. We really felt spoiled! Would not hesitate at all to go back! Only downside is the resort is a bit far from anything so we needed to plan our meals carefully as there are no other places to eat near the resort."

"We had a great stay at the Shangri La resort. The staff were very friendly and eager to accommodate. The resort is showing it's age a bit but overall provided everything we needed. The snorkeling was amazing right off the beach. The lounge chairs at the beach and pool were in bad need of an upgrade. But the beach and snorkeling made up for it. The resort is great for families or if you prefer the adults only section was great as well. The food was good and I would recommend eating at the Black Marlin steak house, the rib steak we shared was fabulous there. If I went to Fiji again I would not go in March as we found the humidity a bit overwhelming. I would highly recommend a massage at the hotel spa and my husband enjoyed playing golf. I wish we had been able to see some sights off the resort but the humidity kept us at the beach and resort. We met some great people and overall had a fantastic time. "

"Love this resort the staff are beautiful especially Ame, sarleen, wame, Sala ratu,the porters are all so friendly these people make me come back every year which I just got back for the 8th time. Daniel near the gym is so friendly aswell kids love him his fun and joins in with the game area good vibe. The cocktails and food are all so good but pricey same as Australia sometimes more. The renovated rooms are beautiful glad they started to renovate the rooms. The spa is so beautiful they do the best massages I’ve ever had very expensive but relaxing I get every year for our anniversary with hubby in a couples room. The sports bar looks amazing with a big screen inside which is awesome as us from Australia love watching the footy every Thurs Friday sat and Sunday night. The only thing I suggest to the boss is to put the singers back to infront of the sunset bar again as there more visible everyone can see them outside when walking around the resort they can get a drink from the bar and listen to there beautiful voices not hidden away inside the sports bar as not everyone goes inside here. "

"The staff at the Hideaway go above and beyond to meet all your needs and ensure that you have a relaxing abd enjoyable holiday. The location of the resort (right on a private beach) is spectacular! Yes...not the most modern resort on the Coral coast but makes up for it in so many other areas!! I look forward to returning to this quaint resort in the future for lots of r & r and interacting with the beautiful and endlessly happy happy staff!"

"As much as we love the Hilton Denerau..it’s now showing signs of needing some love and care..lobby walls to the rooms were all dirty,doesn’t give a nice feel of being a quality hotel. We were offered and payed for an upgrade,however the room was not worth what we spent . Ceiling fan not working,plug sockets not working,tumble dryer not working properly.door handles nearly falling off…not what we expected for a paid upgrade "
