Warm friendly cozy and welcoming

Absolutely loved our stay at this wonderful hotel. The single rooms were spacious with comfortable larger-than-average single beds. Fabulous bar area for a much needed glogg after a chilly December day sightseeing.

Nice Little Spot

Overall, the hotel is quite nice. The room is small but clean and the shower was very nice. The hotel is in a great location and very quiet. My only complaint was that the room was hot and stuffy. They don’t have AC but they provide you with a little table fan. We tried keeping the windows open, but then cigarette smoke would come in from the garden area.

Lots of finger and lips prints on the windows, yellow stains in the toilets and room clean up partially performed. Breakfast below Scandic standards.... Bikes for rent (while many similar hotels provide them for free for a better environment) Check in information provided to the bare minimum (had to raise basic questions about breakfast place and times, giving the impression we were deeply ennoying the guy) Both elevators not in line with our floor dohad to use stairs either up or down regardless of the elevator used... Provided us a room with communicating door (those are commonly known as poor soundproof) while they put a noisy family on the other side ..

We did not have a great experience at Fiftyseven Hotel. The most disappointing experience was that our room was not directly accessible by elevator. One has to change the elevator on one floor and then use stairs to access the room. Considering the fact that we are seniors, it was difficult to navigate to enter/exit the room with luggage. Luckily, someone helped us with the luggage while checking in. But despite our request, the hotel did not change to a better accessible room. The room by itself was very small, barely enough space to move around. The bed was was in one corner so it did not have a side table on one side. The bed was smaller than even a Queen size though on the site it was mentioned to have a King Bed. One had to climb over the other person to the corner side of the bed. Although the room had a kitchenette (not asked for) attached, it was of no use. It did not have any appliances working or any utensils. The room did not have an air conditioner. Although there was a table fan, there was hardly any space in the room to conveniently place it. The intercom did not work as also the Bed lamp on one side of the bed. Not put right during our 3 day stay. The only good part about the hotel was its location. Public transport options are easily accessible and are in close proximity. There are many good restaurants close by offering international cuisines. Overall, won't be excited to stay in this hotel, next time when we visit Copenhagen.

A big disappointment

We were given a room on the 4th floor in the older section of the hotel. We had to lug luggage up a long flight of steps and then another three steps to get to the elevator. We had heavy bags and we are in our 70’s. And this after an exhausting day and a half of traveling. The receptionist did help me get one bag up. When we got to the room it was very warm. We were told the air conditioning would go on when the door was closed. It was a lie. There was no air conditioning. We found fans in the closet. Our room was situated in the front of the building. Across the street was an open air bar/music venue. The music was very loud. We asked the front desk when the music stopped. They said 9:00 pm or we can go across the street and complain. Tuesday night the music was going until 1:00 am. Very frustrating! We also asked at the front desk if there was a usb port in the room. We were told behind the night table. That too was untrue. There was no usb port. Why give out misinformation? The room was fairly comfortable. The breakfast was very good. Most help from the front desk was helpful. There was no grab bar in the bathtub nor was there a bath mat. Not very safe. I would not stay there again.

Hotel carino, camera di dimensioni medie, prezzo abbastanza alto per la tipologia di stanza e servizi offerti, colazione 32€ mi sembra un prezzo veramente eccessivo, ma credo che sia tutto in linea con i prezzi esorbitanti della città. Posizione ottima, stanza poco rumorosa, ottima macchina del caffè Illy, nel complesso sono stata bene.

My room was opposite a venue which had live music so this was quite noisy late at night. If had been in a different room then probably wouldn’t have been a problem.

Very nice property downstairs in the lobby and bar area. Upstairs and in the room, the hotel dropped a star for the size of rooms, water pressure in the shower and the general tired feeling of our accommodation. Brighter decor and perhaps a picture or two on the walls would make it feel less constrained. The breakfast was a mixture of English and Continental which was enough to see us through till lunch time. There is some major building work going on at the back of the hotel that (at the time of writing this review) included jack hammers and demolition work which carries on till later afternoon from around 9am or so. The location is excellent though. An easy walk from the train station, Tivoli Gardens and the city centre. Despite the minor negatives in our review, our stay was pleasant enough despite the high cost for a hotel that is either called the FiftySeven or the Ascot - signage and information around the hotel never did confirm the name, although the sign by the door says Ascot...?

Das Foto aus der Hotels.com Seite zeigte ein Bild einer höheren Kategorie an, als die die man bucht. Somit haben wir kein Zimmer auf wer gewünschten Etage erhalten und ein Wechsel in der selben Kategorie wäre erst am 2. Tag nach 15h möglich gewesen und da wir nur 3 Tage dort waren, wollten wir nicht 2 mal ein- und auspacken. Das Zimmer war sehr klein mit dachschrägen und stickig heiss, das es in der obersten Etage lag. Das Zimmer hatte zwar einen Safe, dieser ist jedoch auf dem Boden des Wandschrank befestigt und kann somit nicht bedient werden, ausser man würde sich auf den Boden legen und auch dann wäre es wohl kaum möglich resp äusserst umständlich. Es hatte zuwenig Steckdosen und so musste man entscheiden, ob man den Eisschrank und die Lampe oder den Ventilator einstecken wollte. Alle drei Apparate zur gleichen Zeit eingesteckt zu lassen, wären nicht möglich gewesen. Die Einrichtung ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen und es war staubig. Die Türe des Notausgang, welcher neben dem Zimmer lag, war immer geschlossen resp ging nur auf, wenn man den Knauf zuerst aufgemacht hat, in einem Notfall wäre das sicher ein Problem. Das Hotel ist zwar in der Lobby schön, aber diese zimmerkategorie total veraltet. Auch das Telefon funktionierte nicht und man musste 5 Stockwerke jeweils runter zur reception um eine Frage zu stellen. Die Lage ist jedoch super zentral und man kann alles zu Fuss machen. Trotzdem würde ich diese Zimmerkategorie zu diesem Preis nicht mehr buchen.

-Flies everywhere, could not find the cause, but i think i must have killed 40 small flies over 3 days. -Construction work starting around 8 every morning -Some kind of machine was on all night so had to sleep with windows closed -No aircon -Outdated bathroom -Toilet broke twice -Curtains doesn’t close -Small closet -Not helpfull staff +Good location

Det går ingen hiss direkt från lobbyn till Hotel 57 utan du behöver bära din packning uppför en lång trappa för att komma till en hiss. För mig som hade mycket packning (ena väskan vägde närmare 30 kg) var det inte optimalt, och något jag inte hade förväntat mig. Personalen i receptionen sa att jag kunde ta en annan hiss till våning 4 (denna hiss hörde till ett annat hotell i samma byggnad, och gick från lobbyn), och där gå tvärs över korridoren till en ny hiss och åka den till mitt våningsplan. Tyvärr missade hon att informera om att även denna väg innehåller trappor (dessutom väldigt smala). Rummet var mer slitet och mindre charmigt än vad jag hade förväntat mig. Frukosten helt okej, läget bra. Litet gym som var svårt att hitta pga bristande skyltning. Ingen återvinning. Skulle inte bo här igen.
