"My wife and I are touring Australia and have had a wonderful experience with the exception of this place.
Arriving from Melbourne on a 39 degree day (Celsius) we found the office to be closed. After waiting for a while in the heat, an agitated and rude gentlemen let us in to the office to check in. It was shocking how unfriendly this guy was and when when we told him we had booked with Expedia, his disdain worsened.
The gentlemen informed us that he needed payment up front for the room and...

"This is quite a large house with a large garden for the dog. Being elevated it is great to watch the sun rise over the lake. Our dog loved lying on the floor in the sun by the front window. We chose the wrong week to stay with the bakery, butcher and cafe overlooking the lake closed but Lucy’s dumplings made up for this. Really enjoyed our stay and now know how and where to catch salmon. "
"What a lovely few days celebrating my dad's 80th birthday with stunning sunrises and sunsets from the deck and wonderful views across the lake, mountains and ocean.Vista Views provided absolutely everything we needed. Spacious, stylish, quiet and comfortable - I would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking to soak up the natural ambience that is Mallacoota. "
"Although it reads well in the advertising this property is poorly maintained and many thi gs simply don't work. The rangehood doesnt work at all and it was extremely greasy and dirty. The kitchen drawers were jammed shut due to swelling arising from water ingress. The microwave could not be operated due to broken controls. The bathroom was poorly maintained and the wall heater doesnt work at all. The curtain rail had come adrift at one end and no attempt had been made to repair it. The TV proved impossible to operate and the set top box continually defaulted to re-set. On the brighter side the wood heater worked well.Unfortunately, the multiple issues with this property forced us to curtail our stay after the first night to seek alternative accommodation.I would not recommend this property. "Terrific space and layout. Backroom with the fireplace was lovely. All clean and nice. A bit of noise overnight /early morning while we were there from home above - I guess someone leaving for work etc. but ok for a short stay. Our family recommend this. Great for MM visiting weekend. "
"We stayed here three nights as a means of exploring Mallacoota and surrounds. It was a perfect place to do some birdwatching as there was a resident lyrebird! "
"A great house for our needs. The view from the house is just wonderful. Lyrebirds and bandicoots in the garden. One thing to note - its a steep block and there is nowhere to park a boat."
