The property was in a good location for my needs, I did not see any staff during my stay except the cleaning person who woke me at 6 am knocking on my door, my car was parked directly outside my room so pretty obvious the room was still occupied and there were numerous vacant parking spots as the mine workers had left early in the morning so why she chose my room leaves me slightly bewildered. The room was clean and tidy but the bathroom was far from it, the door obviously does not get opened by the cleaners because there was a build up of hair and dirt behind it, the sink had hair on it and was a little grubby and no I’m not a whiner, I know how to maintain cleanliness and this bathroom was far from clean.

The memorial garden to the coal miners out front is lovely. The mining Museum at the Workers Club is worth a visit. Very handy to excellent Workers Club, but the motel doesn't promote it. They push the Pit Pony Tavern which is very ordinary at best.
Found the bathroom fittings as rusty as the toaster and the rusty salt shaker was dropping rust flakes into the salt.
Came back to the room to find the light cover had fallen off and shattered. There was no light cover in our second room.
