"The room condition is exaggerated at website. There are mosquitoes. The staff hid such information when we checked in at night so we had to wake up to catch them. The low quality AC is just above the bed and blow the same direction of toward the bed. The curtain cannot be closed tightly. Overall, the hotel is over priced for its condition and should be listed as hostel, compared to other economy hotel. "

"Visited with friends last week, lovely hotel with chatacter. We received a friendly welcome from reception staff. Rooms were bigger than expected, clean, smart and the little balcony made the room light & airy, a pleasant surprise. Kettle & hairdryer in rooms. Lift was small (max 4 persons) but in full working order. Breakfast was ample, continental- selection of fruit, yoghurts, hams, cheeses, cakes/ pastries etc.. a new breakfast room was being built which will give more room. The hotel is within easy walking distance to the train station (10 mins) promenade de anglaise, restaurants, old town & the market. We will be back! "

"We stayed for 2 nights in May in a superior room with a sea view (3rd floor). I can honestly say this was one of the smallest hotel rooms I’ve ever been in - about 0.5m space around the bed, and the balcony was less than 1m wide. The room faced onto the park with a partial sea view, and there was a rock concert on both nights we were there, which ran until after 11 pm and which the meagre soundproofing offered scant protection against. The hotel had been in email contact prior to our check in and never mentioned this concert was on, despite it starting the day before we arrived and happening every year around this time. The staff weren’t very sympathetic to our complaint and only after writing to management did we get a grudging 10% refund. Would not recommend!!"

"Mosquitoes in the hallway and dead ones found on the walls in our room. Would’ve appreciated having that cleaned prior to our arrival. Walls are thin so you will hear the neighbours. They only provide one towel per guest. Otherwise nice stay for the price."

"Great hotel to stay for Nice Getaway! Location wise is absolutely perfect- walking distance to main train station (to catch a train to Eze, Monte Carlo or Cannes). Stones throw from all the restaurants and sea literally across the road. I made sure that I book myself a room that is facing courtyard as from my travel experiences in different places I know that street view rooms can get noisy due to pedestrians and traffic. I also made sure that I book Premium room as they newly refurbished with grand new deco and all completely new and stylish. Bed was extremely comfortable (and I'm a fussy sleeper). We had breakfast included (book through Expedia) and it was a great selection of buffet breakfast options. Staff were all polite and professional so all in all have literally O negative things to say. Would I stay here again? Without a doubt!"

"Would not recommend. Staff could have cared less that we were there. Location was close to the train station, which we wanted, but not convenient for the main areas of Nice. Choice of local restaurants, cafes was not good. Room was very small, but bedding was comfortable. Seemed fairly clean."
