"The attention by the staff. I needed to have my dinner order amended because of an allergy. No problem at all for the chef. And my crab linguine was beautiful!!."
"Easy and welcoming check in. Our room was spotlessly clean, warm and very comfortable. We knew in advance that the room was on the smaller side but was nonetheless more than adequate for our needs. The en-suite shower room was a good size with quality soaps and towels provided. Breakfast was included in our room rate and was superb - lots of choice and delicious. All of the staff that we dealt with were pleasant and helpful. We will look forward to staying here again in the future when the opportunity arises. Excellent!"
"What did we like? Here goes..warm welcome, clear information on breakfast and room details. Although this looks like an old hotel it I assume it has had a lot of money spent on upgrades to retain "Ye Olde" feel to it. Room was not massive but very well decorated with lovely solid sleigh bed. En-suite was very up to date with nice shower and endless hot water. Tiled floor but underfloor heating so not getting back in to bed with ice cold feet after a 3am loo trip. Sockets at bed side tables with charging ports ether side. Everything was spotless. We stayed 2 nights and had dinner in the restaurant the first night. Service was great and food was very good. The menu does specialise in Indian food but they also do traditional British food so we had a mix and left the plates empty. Food was not cheap but not expensive. Sometimes you get what you pay for and I would say it was good value. Everything is so well thought out and really good attention to detail, just like the old style of hospitality rather than cheap and cheerful multi national hotels that all look the same. Nice lounge at reception, car park has distinct bays, hotel is kept really warm. Staff very professional, polite, courteous and well dressed. I am sure I will submit this and remember something else but in short, would recommend."
"Staff was helpful and communicative. We caught on a closed road, and realized we weren't going to make check in, we looked at our phone to contact them, and they had already reached out before check in closed and made arrangements for us. Took a load off while sitting in traffic.
Breakfast (for a charge) was delicious. Staff and property were great."
"Just on our way back home & we never wanted to leave. Amazing place & we will definitely be returning next year. Fiona was very helpful & we would recommend visiting nearby Pattack Falls, also the bothy cafe in Lagan does the best Bacon & Egg sandwich you’ll ever have!!"
