The cottage itself is spacious and homely with every facility you could wish for. We loved it. "Loved the cottage and the welcome was truly wonderful! We did have problems with Maisie as there is no safe place to let her out as the cottage opens onto the road, also all the area around Rutland water is dogs on leads only so sadly no proper exercise there. We did find a truly wonderful walk around Empingham along the river through plantations of newly planted trees and the most incredible display of wildflowers, excellent!"

"Very close to Rutland water. Loads to do at Rutland. Rural location only accessable by car. The owner kindly let us charge the car at the house (we worked out and paid for the electricity used). I was pleased to find there is a freezer in the kitchen. There were lots of kitchen utensils which made cooking easy."

Lovely hotel and great breakfast
"I had a great stay at The Bull, the hotel looks lovely and elegant when you walk in. The staff are helpful and pleasant and my room was great. It was large and had a desk and computer chair, which was a welcome addition as I was attending for work. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and the best hash browns I’ve ever had! One thing to note, the breakfast is £12 if ordered in the evening and this goes up to £15 in the morning so make sure you opt in ahead of time if you’re looking to have breakfast there."
