This was a great vacation for us! We absolutely loved being here! It was the best family time we've had in a long time. It brought us closer together. It was clean, we were on the water and got to connect with nature
We really enjoyed our time at the cabin- great location for popping over to Dahlonega and Helen, while being a nice home away from home during downtime of the day. The property was beautiful this time of year! Spring was had the dogwoods blooming and trees filling in. We hope to be back!
Loved being right on the creek, plenty of room for 9 of us, close to all three towns we went to see. Found a great BBQ place about 6-8 minutes from us. Had a great time
Beautiful, peaceful location! Great cabin and very clean. Plenty of room (9 of us stayed comfortably) and has everything you need like fully stocked kitchen and bathroom toiletries. We all truly enjoyed our stay and are planning to return in the summer!
We enjoyed the privacy of our property! Upstairs and downstairs are apartment style. Great for the families to be together but allow privacy at the same time.
The cabin was well stocked with needed supplies, roomy and was very comfortable for a group. The kids throughly enjoyed the creek and the ambiance was relaxing. Communication with the host was responsive. We definitely recommend this listing and would love to return in the future.
The property was beautiful and the creek very relaxing. Being centrally located between so many fun mountain towns, wineries and restaurants - we were also able to stay entertained. The home was warm, welcoming and very well kept. We felt both at home and like we were able to truly get away for the holiday !
We enjoyed our time at this cabin. The property was beautiful and the cabin was clean and inviting. Fantastic porches for swinging, playing card games, or listening to the river. There was a hot tub on the property listing, but not one actually at the cabin.
The best thing about our stay is how peaceful it is there. Just having a cup of coffee or a glass of wine with the water of the creek in the background will take the stress out of anyone.
Also, Dahlonega,
Ga is twenty minutes away with great restaurants. We hiked and were also able to go wine tasting right up the road. If you need a break with peace and quiet I would recommend this place.
Our family was in for our daughter’s wedding. The bridesmaids had their own area downstairs with a kitchen that worked perfect for the weekend. The rest of us stayed upstairs and we had plenty of room. The stream on the property was beautiful and the porches a great place to have coffee in the morning and listen to the creek. Perfect location to winery’s and Dahlonega where the rehearsal dinner was.

The place was peaceful and quiet. Was hoping to catch some trout but didn't. But overall satisfied
We stayed at Wine Down the River for a family vacation and absolutely loved it! The cabin was fully furnished with everything we needed. The two kitchens are fully stocked and had everything we needed to cook as a family. The bunk room was amazing for the kids, and they had an absolute blast tubing in the river. The porches are so relaxing to sit and listen to the sound of the river at night time, and there was an awesome fire pit for s’mores. We will definitely be back!!!
If nothing else, the sound of the river was worth it.
It’s a nice quiet place, and feels like you’re all alone in the woods. We enjoyed having the fire pit, the grill, and the view, and we enjoyed having the time with the family. If you’re a hot dog/hamburger kind of guy, it’s perfect. If you want to try and cook something more refined, you might be a bit disappointed at what’s in the kitchen. We didn’t do fancy food, but had to use a gallon ziplock to make twice baked potatoes bc there wasn’t a big enough bowl, but enjoyed the challenge.
Very relaxing property, nicely equipped, reasonably maintained with a great fire-pit. Needs a little TLC related to dishwasher and ice-maker. It would benefit from a deep cleaning inside and out. But still a wonderful getaway spot.
One dangerous thing can be easily resolved. The second step down from the top porch is not very visible at night due to overhead light placement. Adding a reflective strip fixes the problem.
