"This was our first time to Long Island. The best decision we made was staying at the Whistling Duck. Before our trip Peter was great with answering my emails. We were greeted by the manager Violet, who showed us around and gave us a lot of useful information. The place is very cozy. Great front and back porches to enjoy the sounds of the water. The gazebo by the water was our favorite place to hang out. We did swim in front of the house when the tide was right. Lochabar Bay is beautiful. A highlight of our trip was kayaking across the bay and around the Blue Hole. The outdoor shower was incredible. Nothing like hearing the waves and seeing the stars. The outdoor clothes line was very handy. The house is well equipped with everything we needed. Visit Erica’s bakery for incredible banana bread and meet this kind woman. The house is centrally located to explore the island. Lighthouse point has great fish tacos. The pig roast Friday nights at Rowdy boys was fun. Gordon’s is a must and about 30 minutes away. North you will find Tiny’s, Chez Pierre and Harbour club around 45 minutes. Thank you Pam and Peter for sharing this great property. We will be back."

"Like some of the reviews before me I am hesitate to say just how awesome this place is, I would like to keep this place my little secret. However, that wouldn't be fair to Debbie and Phil (our hosts) and the wonderful people of this island. What a great couples vacation. From the home itself to all the people on the island. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming you will not want to leave TRUST ME. Don't let the remoteness of the island deter you from going you will not regret it."

"This property in my opinion is positioned in the best place on the island. It has a great living area overlooking the water with a great balcony. High ceilings throughout which gives it a lot of space and it’s easy to find. The beach is great for walking , swimming and sunbathing. Thank you Peter and Pam !"

"Our 4 teen and preteen kids immediately agreed that this was the best vacation home that we’ve ever stayed in! The house is beautiful, warm and inviting beach themed throughout. The layout is rare find with en suite bathrooms in each of the 4 large bedrooms. The best feature of all is the beautiful/mostly private beach, the backyard to this home! The sunrises are breathtaking. We enjoyed swimming, kayaking, snorkeling and also exploring farther down the beach. Teresa and Charles are amazing! They were so helpful with anything we needed. We really enjoyed a beautiful family dinner they prepared for us using some fresh catches we got locally on a fishing trip. We are definitely coming back!"

"We loved this house and location so much! Janice was a wonderful host and even made us delicious homemade cookies. The house was spotless, very comfortable and had everything we needed. I wish we could go back right now! We saw 2 people on the beach our entire week there, it's a gorgeous secluded spot and there is great swimming just south of the house. The deck was a great spot to have coffee and watch the sunrise, eat meals and look at the stars at night."
