Rooms were small but can be pretty cozy. Service depends on the staff working on the day itself. We had the room cleaned well after the first night, however the subsequent service was not as great - room was barely tidied up. Breakfast quality also depends on the chef for the day, so it can be inconsistent too. Overall still a nice stay though.

We had a wonderful stay at the Mason’s Arms. The food in the restaurant was outstanding. The staff was very friendly. The room was great.

Probably a good locals pub
We have eaten here a few times because the food was always good. I asked for the 'special' venison to be medium rare and got it well done. It looked like it had been on a plate under heat for a while as one side was super tough. We tried to get a drink after the meal and were told that the bar closed at 09:45! There was no warning for this which surprised us. The rooms were not great. a bright LED from the radiator illuminated the room, lots of road noise and paper thin walls meant plenty of sound coming into my room and overall it was a very bad sleep. On a positive, the lady who served breakfast was superb!

Many thanks for your review. I'm sorry your meal was not to the standard you or we would expect - we'd have loved to have had the opportunity to have put this right at the time. I'm surprised to hear of the bar closing as we will always serve residents (within licensing restrictions) until they choose to retire to their rooms.I'm glad your stay finished on a positive with a pleasant breakfast service.

Lovely overnight stay
Lovely overnight stay with our dog. Fantastic service. Free room upgrade which was much appreciated. Friendly, helpful staff, lovely food. Would definitely recommend only negative is the lack of parking. There is no car park and space in the immediate vicinity is limited.

The best breakfast!
The room was nice, clean and comfortable but the breakfast was over the top outstanding! I had the Mason’s classic English breakfast and it was the best breakfast I had during my entire three week stay in the UK.

Fabulous Cotswold inn with great restaurant.
Fabulous Cotswold stone country inn. Beautifully modernised with very comfortable bedroom. Also a great chef! We had an excellent lunch and a great breakfast the following morning. Can recommend it highly, and we’ll certainly be back for a longer stay.

Service and care was very good. Room was comfortable and clean, toiletries included. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent and the chef prepared a lactose free sauce especially for my sister. We were having to leave early the next morning prior to breakfast, so we were given a breakfast bag to take with us.

Beautiful setting Rooms were so nicely set up Plenty of room bathrooms equipped with cute supplies Tea and coffee trays with water and cookies were a beautiful touch! Very clean and comfy beds . The breakfast included was also delicious and plenty of choices off a menu ! Fully recommend this cute place .

Pub accommodation and food at its best! Super dog
This is probably the best pub I have stayed in especially as it has first class service for dogs. 1)Welcome from staff great 2)rooms super clean 3) beds great quality 4) bar lovely 5)food menu great in the evening 6) breakfast excellent 7) dog bowls, food and towels all thought of which is A* If you want me to be super critical then for the quality of the burger that we ate… it deserves a brioche bun and not a bap! Will be back 100%

The only downside was the noisy extractor fan sytem outside the family room's window and which were open because of the warm weather. Everything else was great.

Worth a stay if in the area
A lovely looking little pub. They were great in putting us at the end of the corridor as we asked for a quiet spot with our dog. The food was excellent, we ate dinner and breakfast there. We were told you couldn't check in between 3 and 5pm but this didn't seem to be the case. The room was comfy and clean (little dust around the bottom of the bedside tables). The bed was comfy and clean. The blinds were a bit fiddly and the cord kept coming off them. The shower was very powerful!

Overnight stop
Lovely mid week overnight stay. It's a beautiful quaint pretty inn. Rustic but light,bright and contemporary without losing any of it's charm. Comfortable stylish en suite room. Breakfast was lovely. We'd chosen to dine in the previous evening. Food was delicious,good value and the service friendly. Well done. Highly recommended

Relaxing Stay in a Beautiful Hotel
The Mason's Arms is a beautiful little country hotel in a delightful part of England. We stayed here to attend a family wedding in the nearby Cripps Barn. The rooms were lovely and well equipped. Staff were very helpful and the breakfast was fab. Would 100% recommend The Mason's Arms for a stay in the Cotswolds.

Lovely establishment...with a warm welcome
Warm welcome, tasteful comfortable room, lovely evening meal. WIFI a bit patchy due to stone walls but to be expected. Lovely breakfast but not severed until 8.30 which was a little late for business people.

Wonderful, cosy stay!
Fabulous stay for the evening, really welcoming and all the staff were super friendly. We ate in the bar on the evening and the food was delicious, both food and drinks very reasonably priced. Breakfast was delightful with lots of choice. The room was lovely and very clean. Would definitely recommend a stay here, a lovely dog friendly inn.
